Folks, November saw some awesome performances from everyone on the roster. We had some fantastic newcomers as well as some vets who really took it to the next level.

I'm going to list some recommendations for what we'd probably consider the "most obvious" nominees for Star of the Month here, but please, as always, feel free to hit "other" and drop another name in there that you think is worthy. There are tons more than just the 5 or so I'm going to put up top.

He pulled off an absolute coup this month, adapted his style from what I was used to from him and pumped out not only what I think is his best ever work, but some of my favorite stuff I've ever read here.

To win that battle royal where everyone's work was so good and so constant speaks to his dedication and his ability to grow.

I chose Barney. I think he put out some of the best work I've ever seen him do. Big ups to Barney.

This was really, really tough. Honorable mentions to Thad and Barney who were something else at High Stakes. Nothing but the highest respect.

I have to give it to Page. Certainly, he came up short i the results, but he proved the grit you need to properly challenge for a championship around here. I think he absolutely earned some recognition for his amazing performance in Nov.

Everyone here was fantastic, but I gotta go with Thad. Guy made huge waves, and his impact is still being felt.

As much as I agree that Thad definitely did more than enough to deserve it, I gotta tip my hat to Barney. He did some of his best stuff and you could tell how badly he wanted it.

Thad got the belts, I think Barney deserves the award.

It's a tough call, Thad seems like the obvious choice but he just won it in September (??). Nevertheless, I think he deserves it again. I'm not opposed to people winning it multiple times when it's warranted, and it IS warranted. He put out an insane amount of quality content, kept up a solid feud, and shot through High Stakes like a hot knife through butter. Thad Duke is my pick.

He's a grinder, he's the best dance partner I ever had in this game, and what he does when no one's watching is probably more important and integral to this game and the XWF community than what we see from his character. That character is no slouch either. A lot of you are voting for me and I love it, but without Chris Page, there's a good bet that the Thaddeus Duke character isn't what he is right now. Don't tell the WaD though, he might make really horrible odds again and lose his ass.

I don't usually get into stuff like this and don't have a lot of OOC posts or am really that involved with discord. I'll have my moments where I'll pop in or out and it's for a reason... I'm older and can't keep up with the millions of conversations at one time. In a rare moment, I feel compelled to respond as only I can and from perspective.

While wins and losses matter to a lot of people (I was once that guy) they don't to me. I'm not in the game for titles or accolades anymore. I am not more interested in taking people on a ride with a really good story that develops and develops and keeps the readers interested. I like being the guy who pushes whoever has a belt to put some good angles together and tell a good story because whoever I'm paired with we're trying to upstage you. I like being the guy that doesn't need the title because whatever I;m doing stands alone.

Why is he telling us that?

And while you want to give me the credit... brother I have nothing to do with the work YOU put in for High Stakes. Along this road, it is safe to say we're tight, and it's because I knew you were going to enter this thing motivated me to even try. You are hands down one of my top feuds (and dude I've done a lot of good ones) and one that will drive me to get to my goal, that Universal Title. We did some shit, didn't we?

If you enjoyed what Thad and I have done thus far I want you to understand that you can do it too. All you have to do is collaborate with your partner. Understand that there are many ways to get to a common denominator, it's giving and taking, roll with the punches, and get people emotionally invested. If you have the readers invested you've got them right where you want them... in the palm of your hands.

Regarding behind the scenes shit... Shut up, LMAO!

Listen I do my part just like Theo does his, just like Vinnie does his, just like the GM's do there's just like any other match writer does there to give you a good show. We wouldn't do it if we didn't all get off on it in some form or fashion. Match writing happens to be my shit. I do my research with the bios; looking at sizes, weights, and move sets before mentally mapping the match out to tell some sort of story.

... now, about that Star of the Month...

If you're defaulting you don't need to default to me... default to someone else that stepped up just like you did... Barney is that man... and that's where my vote is going; not because Thad doesn't deserve it... but if he does default Barney should be next in that line.

While my own vote went elsewhere, I just wanted to say: I remember you from way back when. You stuck around when everyone was in and out. You've gotten better every time I've seen you. And you did damn good work in the Rumble. The consensus is on point, it was some of your best work. I don't think I've ever seen anyone with as much dedication and drive in this hobby as you, and that's worth a standing ovation on it's own. Keep kicking ass, sir. Don't stop believing!

That's exactly what's happening, and that speaks more volumes than anything else. We all know Duke's got the juicy juice, and this was yet another display of that fact... and WELL DONE! Barney, though? That man knocked it out of the park farther than any of us would have imagined and had some of us thinking he might just win it all!

For Duke to be as good as he is, and win BOTH of those titles, yet Barney is still in the discussion this many days into the sotm thread? And it's justified! That right there tells me the vote goes to Barney. Good job, Barn!
