Hello all you lovely people.

Firstly, to echo what Thad said in his post, I'm proud of each and every single one of you. War Games was awesome with some stellar RPs and even leading up to the PPV almost everyone here has been dropping amazing writing! Everyone deserves a clap on the back.

Anyhow! I'm making this post because we would like to gauge what everyone thought of the show. Did we do good? Did we do bad? Did we just do okay?

What are your highlights of the show?

Did anything stand out to you?

What would you like to see more of?

What could we improve upon?

How would you rank the GMs/staff on kissability?

Anything!

This is a safe space so please say anything that is on your mind around the PPV but if you have negatives please make them constructive criticism rather than out-right hate. Real people worked hard on this and they don't deserve to get shat on.

Thank you!

So I really don't have any sort of complicated anaylysis to give you unfortunately. I thought the show was great! Clearly a lot of hard work went into it. Big ups to the match writers for slogging it out and giving us that beast of a show.

The only constructive thing I have to say is that I found it really difficult to work with the first RP's 2500 word count. That didn't feel like quite enough to both kick start the team storyline and effectively trash talk both the first round team and the people we could potentially meet in the finals. I mean, clearly a lot of people DID do it, but I can only speak anecdotally for myself in saying that my RP felt truncated and kind of constrained because of the word count. I think also making the solo RP's 4000 (while keeping the collabs just the way they are, I actually liked the whole no trash talk thing for them) would be the sweet spot. However, I realize the judging process was probably arduous enough as it was and this would make it just that much longer, but I think it would be worth it to have more well rounded solo RP's.

We'll definitely be taking a look at a number of things before next War Games, but to be quite honest and transparent, I don't know that it's necessary in a 1 rp format to try and anticipate who you might face and in turn try and trash 'em. It's scored once, so it's not like we're gonna go back and rescore it for the finals. Though nothing is really decided unilaterally anymore.

This was a difficult event to kick off this new world we live in now post-Theo. While I'm personally relieved that we were able to pull it off, the War Games ppv had already been greenlit and we didn't know Theo was bowing out until Relentless weekend.
So, when we made these guidelines for this event, it was only me and Principle steering the ship. We've since added Bashmaster and Gator has taken on a larger role to help us out. I do anticipate adding more staff as time goes on so the possibility exists that we'll be able to split up judging assignments next year and maybe we will be able to do a full 4k.

But... we're not blowing smoke when we say yall did phenomenal work. Solo, collab, they were all fuckin great. I understand the feeling of feeling truncated or cut off at the knees due to the word count.

This was a really long winded way of saying yeah we'll look at it lol.

Putting together an event of this size and caliber isn’t easy. Putting together an event like this and having so many talented people show up and show out the way they did, it’s amazing.

I feel like ya’ll did a fantastic job. The matches were great, and I do feel like everyone got a chance to be seen and featured. They were creative, and they used the theme well which is another thing that’s not always the easiest, at least from my point of view.

I don’t know that anything in particular stood out to me besides the amount of talent around me here and the effort and care that went into giving everyone something to work with and off of. That’s not something you see everywhere anymore.

I’ve honestly enjoyed everything I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of in my short time here and I genuinely look forward to the future. I appreciate how well taken care of Lucy is, selfishly. But I also appreciate how well taken care of characters are as a whole. There’s a ton of moving pieces in events like these and it’s not hard to lose a few in the shuffle.

My only constructive point of feedback, I suppose, would be pertaining to the RP guidelines as well. I don’t much mind the challenge of 2500 words to set up/trash talk - but as someone who likes knowing what’s expected, I went into the trash talk not knowing if it were best to focus on the people in our opening match, or if I should try to touch on everyone. It’s not a huge point of contention, but the uncertainty of how things were to be scored at the end of it did play into how I wrote my parts, at least to some degree.

Outside of that, I enjoyed the challenge and I enjoyed the show and thank you all for the work you put into it and everything else you do!

Like I was saying to Madison... you're not gonna get scored twice. Having said that, you write your trash talk the way you think is best. It is difficult to know who to trash or who to skip, but if you mainly focus on those directly in front of you, there's nothing wrong with that either.
