So, heading into my first few events I have run across somethings that I'm fighting with both OOC and IC and was hoping for advice/answers. Any help is appreciated.

Is there a XWF Discord? Can I get an invite? Atara Themis #0103

Is there a guide or list of objective and/or subjective criteria the judges use to determine victors?

What's the code here for floating images.

I'm assuming there is no content rating, but figure I should ask. Do the XWF shows have an IC content rating?

*Does kayfabe exist here or is all the supernatural/fantasy/ murder stuff legit?*

If kayfabe does not exist, how loose or closely tied are the different mythos on the board?

This is more suggestion than question, but the backstage staff page doesn't clarify what characters can be used by everyone and which are exclusive to a certain writer.

Are XWF shows aired on any specific Network?

Could I exempt my character from permanent injury/scarring in match results or is it at the match writers discretion?

Is there any character created content I should be aware of? Magazine's, Podcast, Talk Shows, etc.

The XWF fan base option? Does this effect anything?

Unfortunately at this moment no, there was talk about it coming but as of right now no. (EDIT: I miss spoke. There is a rubric, but it is not public. The staff doesn’t want people writing to win. They want people to have creative freedom. For the judges there is a rubric, but we are the competitors don’t know what it is. It’s odd but it allows people to be creative and have no “bounds” )

There is a distinct line between ooc and ic. Venture too close to the sun and you’ll burn your wings of.

Sayors is allowed for everyone. Others you’ll need permission, unless it’s a “dream, parody etc”

Yup by all means. Keep the scars you want and lose the others. I literally just cheese grated someone’s face, and I’m pretty sure it’s going back to normal.

Not really. Just make it up as you go.

If I could expand on this a tad - the rubric, as it is, is pretty basic. Is it fun to read? Is it relevant to the XWF and your match in particular? Did you follow the rules?

Really as long as you keep things relevant and in some fashion address your opponent, you should be fine. We like to see a bit of direct "trash talking" but there are even ways around that if you're creative enough.

For me the number one thing in RPs is "did I enjoy reading this?"

I'll just go through here like Fuzzy did.

We don't want to get screened in peoples' filters, so please don't post any porn. I'm not a fan of overt racism/etc., but it can be a case by case situation if things like that are addressed as a part of an artform rather than just someone who likes to scream the N word.

We've got it all. I enjoy finding ways to explain ridiculous things in terms of a wrestling match. "Oh you're an ancient warlock that's cool well you got pinned by a swinging neckbreaker."

Everyone does their own thing, really.

Most of them aren't handled by anyone, like the refs or Sayors. The GMs themselves are though, so you should always check with them. You can use Vinnie any time you want just be nice, he's sensitive.

We don't really do stuff like that unless you really deserve it (no show/quit, get banned, be Gilly)

We've had a ton of stuff over the years but nothing specific. The CTN account does a great job with promotion, etc., so they are a good person to talk to.

Nah, that's just an added little character bit to see what sort of direction you lean with the character.

I would also add the caveat that if you bring in a character that has super powers or something in no way does that guarantee any kind of win or advantage over somebody who doesn't. It's what always made those characters kind of an iffy prospect for me. Not to say they can't be well written, but as Vinnie alluded to above, yeah your Space Colossus could lose to a swinging neckbreaker. Ouch.
