I know its bad to feel this way but I haven't been active at all for a week. I feel really bad about that. It's just that sometimes I lose my "mental momentum" between writer's block and work. No excuses are gonna come from me. I roleplay from my cracked screen phone so I normally can't put out those two thousand word rps like an Eli James or an Azrael Erebus. I get frustrated and just close the editor, so yes...I admit. The player is intimidated. I dont know what to do from here. Everytime something crossesmy mind it gets hit by amack truck.

Now...Cain. I totally get where you're comin' from dude, cuz the RP I just posted was the first 'real roleplay' I've put together in quite some time. I didn't write it on a cell phone [and that is, as Scorp said, fuckin' phenomenal of you, seriously].....But, it's been a while. I edited the narration from one of Jack's pieces from 2008, partly because I just need to inch my way into this before I'm back to my old level. And I honestly dunno if I did well enough, if I lived up to Mr. XWF, if I lived up to 'my return' so far... But I did what I could.

Cain...I was joking with you before. I have a lot of respect for you and what you can dish out. I never judge when people get a writers block going on so don’t think I was poking fun.

But if I could offer some advice to you that may be helpful presently and in the future.

I think you are thinking about how to equal them. If you put someone higher than yourself then you feel like you can’t win and lose drive and get a block. When I face people I keep in mind that they can be beaten and I go from there. I lose sometimes but I don’t think I lost badly ever and shit is always close. You are putting people too far above you and I think that is killing the ideas you are coming up with. Here is the best example I can come up with. War…when out numbered people what? Surrender!
Don’t keep people above you and don’t think you are beneath them because the second you do, all your ideas you will throw away because it will never be good enough. Eli is a normal guy and writes awesome work and so do you. In fact I think you can take him. 2000 word role-plays won’t win you a match…a good role-play will. Not saying that Eli’s shit sucks…all I am saying is you have a better chance than you think you do.

Take a week off, or make another character that's completely different, or try tagging with someone... just some ideas of things you can do to keep things interesting. You're already in the running for SOTM, got a title, and had a title match with the top guy. Not a bad start if you ask me. Just chill and don't feel like you gotta meet expectations or something.

That sucks you gotta use a cell phone to do RPs on. Just getting something like this would be enough to let you go on the net:

I am not sure where you live but pawn shops have those HP mini laptops for like$100...I think that is a normal price for them all over used.

Cain...I just read 'The Murderer Returns'. And I HAD to come to this thread, and tell you. You remind me of Vlad. None of you know him, not even the people that were here when I originally called the XWF home. But he and "The Deite's Dragon", Javex Valerius...they were the two guys that had the greatest impact on my character, in his 14 year career. XAW. Which I've ALWAYS said this place reminds me of.

I compare Satellite/Supernova/Azrael to JVX. Now, I see a bit of "The Dhampir" in you and your character. I guess that'd make Misty his 'Claudia'....Vlad 'turned' her. They had that same kind of relationship, and reading that piece....Total flashback moment. It was a pleasure. Thank you. Please, do NOT make a different character.
