Vin I know you are going to hate me for this. But I really believe we need an updated top 50 of all time. There are guys on this roster right now that belongs on that list. I know this won't happen over night or anything but I believe we need to pull the trigger on this.

My main concern with the top 50 is undoing what

did to the older names. We had the whole community vote on our version of a top 50, but

revised it for no apparent reason. I think if we take the following list and add in newer names as appropriate, it would be way better:

Honestly don’t combine the eras. The old names will never be happy with anyone from the old days getting dropped off of here or the list being dominated by newer names, and the newer generation doesn’t care about the list when it’s all people they don’t recognize.

Just keep the old top 50 list and make a new one for the new era.

Or just abandon a top 50 list all together and have a Hall of Fame/Hall of Legends that recognizes the best rpers regardless of their era. Like all the Pro Sports Hall of Fames.

What I have always proposed before and what I still think makes sense is "graduating" people from the Top 50 once they are in the Legends.

Think about it. Steve Jason is never going to budge from the number one spot. What's the point of him even being listed? Same with others who are t going to ever RP again. I think of someone is going to bean active part of the fed then they belong on the 50, but if they are gone forever they can be unranked in the Hall.

That makes sense too. I was mainly thinking two separate lists that you combine by pro-rating using the amount of time each era lasted, maybe with some minor adjustments based on people who competed in both. Separate lists work just fine though.

I like the idea of a graduation into the Hall. I’ve always found ‘of all time’ lists to be really subjective (that said I am of course very honoured!) so perhaps making a top ranking more pertinent to the current era is worth thinking about.

My only suggestion is that no matter where I'm positioned on the list, the number 666 should be in front of it.
