If it's just 1 character, there's definitely no reason for a thread about it. Just handle it In Character and be sure to make contact with your GM so they know not to book just that 1 character. Like I said if you WANT people to know about it for that character, do a news/rumors post or something.

OOC "taking time off" threads really should only be posted when the handler is going to be completely away for more than just a month or two with zero access, because then it's like saying farewell to a group of buddies who you might not see for a long time. People get confused when they see a bunch of "time off" threads and it's really just people who took a week or 2 off and are back already lol.
