I read the first one and enjoyed it a lot. I think you did a great job with the narrative. It's a very cerebral piece which I dig. Your pacing is really on point too. What I commend you for is taking a risk. I think when you're roleplaying week to week it's easy to fall into a formula for what works, so kudos to you for trying something different and expanding the character.
