So the gimmick of High Stakes varies from edition to edition, this year we decided on a Battle Royale. EVERYONE is invited to attend, except for the Universal Champion of course because the winner of this match will be guaranteed a Universal Title shot at the following Pay Per View.

So how will this Battle Royale work?

Simple. Sorta.

How do you declare your intentions to enter this Royale? Simple, you roleplay.

Where do I roleplay and when? We are going to create a roleplay board and open it up on Monday October 19th at which time you will be able to start roleplaying for the ROYALE ONLY!! But why Theo? Why would we start roleplaying for the Royale on October 19th when the PPV isn't until November 29th?

Well see that's where it gets fun.

The way we are doing it is that we will give you 6 weeks to roleplay for the Royale. You can do at MAX 1 ROLEPLAY per week for a total of 6 OVERALL Roleplays.

That means 1 roleplay per week x 6 weeks. If you miss a week NO you can not do two the following week to make up for it.

If you don't want to do 6 roleplays and only want to do 1 or 2 or 4 you can. You can do as few roleplays as you want but at most you can do 6 and you have to do ONE PER WEEK.

Roleplays will have a 3k max word limit.

You DO NOT have to opt in for the Battle Royale, you simply rp and bam you are in the Battle Royale.

THE FIRST ROLEPLAY YOU DO WILL HAVE A MODIFIED COLD OPEN - What this means is that because you have no real idea who else will be in the Royale during your first rp what we are going to ask you to do IN YOUR FIRST RP ONLY is not talk about your opponents but rather tell us WHY YOU are going to win the event. After your first rp you can responds to opponents and verbally trash anyone else who rps for the event.

ANY RPS YOU DO FOR THE ROYALE COUNT ONLY FOR THE ROYALE AND DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS YOU RP LIMITS FOR ANY OTHER MATCH YOU MAY BE BOOKED IN DURING THE REST OF HIGH STAKES!!!

In addition to that we are also going to add an interesting wrinkle to things and this is something Shane did at least once during my time here though I don't remember which match/event it was for.

What we are going to do is allow people to PM ME and tell me who in the Battle Royale they want to attack and try to eliminate. This will give the writers some direction when writing the match and YOU CAN ALSO PM me with who you may want to team up with, or stab in the back during the match. If you come to an agreement on any alliances you must PM ME and include the other people you are aligning with. You can only align with upto 2 other people and NO these alliances have no impact on your chances of winning the match. Winners, number of eliminations, order of eliminations etc are decided strictly based on the roleplays you do.

The DEADLINE for all Alliance/Attack PM's will be the SOFT DEADLINE of High Stakes, which is SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21st.

Lastly we will have an actual booking thread for this PPV for you to opt into other matches for the PPV. All the titles will be defended in addition to the Battle Royale. STAMINA BARS WILL NOT COME INTO EFFECT FOR ANY PART OF HIGH STAKES.

Is it Rumble style Royale? Or traditional style?

I believe a Rumble starts with 2 or 4 people in the ring, where as a Royal/e starts with everyone in the ring. For this match we are going with the latter so everyone in the match will be there when it starts.

EDIT: I like this idea overall. Good idea to spread it out over six weeks so come ppv, people aren't overwhelmed by the amount of work they may have to put out in two weeks.

Do you have to Opt In the first week with an RP, or is anyone allowed to declare their entrance whenever over the course of the 6 weeks(obviously still following the 1 RP per week rule)?

Nope. Whenever you do your first RP that is you entering the match. Be it week 1 or week 6.
