Recently I got a couple questions about how to change a name or how Madison is able to keep changing his name 420 times a week. ;)

Anyway, the answer is something I bet nobody else stumbled upon!

Any CHAMPION (and King) has a feature enabled in their control panel where they can change their username at will! This applies to ALL champion accounts, from UFO to Euro, etc...

Click the little leftward arrow next to your username at the top of the forums, then click "control panel" and on the left side of the screen you will see a bunch of options. One of them will say "change username" and you'll be asked for your password along with the new username.

Just a little perk all the XWF champions have. Once you lose your title though, you are stuck with whatever your username says.

DO NOT change your usernames to something completely confusing or that makes no sense at all. We want to still be able to see your username and realize WHO you are. lol

Also keep in mind that when you want to private message someone who has changed their name you'll have to make sure in the recipients section that you use the new name. I just tried to PM Madison to the old John Madison, then tried to find King Madison 69, and then I finally had to go back and see that his new name was Mr. Madison...

Oh man, I had no idea that it conflicted with PMs. I figured it was 100% cosmetic.

Still, cool perk.

But yeah, try to keep your name identifiable so that we don't overlook your RPs when it comes time to judge.

It won't interfere when PMing back and forth by clicking reply because the board knows what user ID number the PM was sent to/from, but when sending a brand new PM where you enter the person's name then you'd have to know the current name to enter.
