March 14, 2018 Edition of Warfare <== Read me!

This was my first attempt at putting together the results for a show here as a member of the XWF GM team. The result format may look very familiar and that was by design. As far as I know people seem to like the format we have been using so why fix something if it isn't broke right?

Well that is what I am here to find out. As it was my first time putting together the results I want to take this opportunity to ask all of you, the XWF community what you thought of them? Much like when roleplayers ask their peers for feedback on their roleplays I am asking all of you for feedback on the results.

What did you like?

What didn't you like?

Is there anything you would like to see done differently?

Is there anything you really hope we keep doing.

Put it all out there. There good, the bad and the ugly.

As I said this is my first go around with the results and so I want to make the most of the opportunity. As a member of the GM team I am here to help not just the rest of the General Managers and the Administrators but you the XWF roster. I am a resource for all of you so please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Even if it's just to say hello. Or to tell me why it is that having a GM with a black face is so troubling for you as I have heard it was for one particular member. I won't name names but come on bro, it's 2018.

I hope you all enjoyed the results as much as I enjoyed putting them together for you.

Not bad. New to the fed, is it common to have a draw when one person no shows? I heard this place was unique, not that unique though.

Haha. Actually that was a mistake on my part. It has since been corrected and a winner declared for the match.

I wouldn't say I didn't like it, I just wasn't sure where it was headed; if it meant a rematch or maybe a series of matches with crazy stips over and over again or something like that, or a finish in the comments section because Muddy sent you a message or were setting up a storyline since I was new and didn't submit one of my own.

I'm not management, but as far as I know a no show never gets a win unless the competitors work out an angle beforehand. I admit I was confused when I read it first too, but just figured it was angled.

Thank you for your feedback Peter. I can assure you that a match such as yours, which was very close in the judges eyes was looked at by more than one person as is standard procedure here from what I am told. I can appreciate feeling like your work was better I think we are all probably partial to our own work which is why we don't judge our own matches but I can assure you that your match, like all matches was judged fairly.

I know losing can be frustrating and I don't have a problem with you venting your frustration but in the future I would ask that you send a PM to the GM who posted the show to vent that frustration. Or, do vent publicly but please understand that while you are saying that you should have won a match you lost you are also saying that your opponent should have lost a match that they won. That is a perfectly acceptable comment in character but out of character it's disrespectful and I know you don't mean to be disrespectful. Thank you.

I'm not a big fan of that when it's over used, but it's a pretty standard technique.

I do think it's better to restate in your own words instead of just quoting everything and picking it apart though, personally.

I don't think I have ever copy pated people's work. If I have I'm sorry, it won't happen again.

I’m not a big fan of getting douchey messages in my inbox either. People use quote boxes when someone says something in their promos a lot. It’s not like someone’s work is being stolen- it’s being responded to and/or made fun of. Common practice

Yeah, it's not against the rules or anything. I prefer to have my character reword what you said, but that's personal opinion. Tons of people use the route box technique for response trash talk.

I'm better off responding to trash talk in gillys own way lol

Using the quote box is a perfectly acceptable practice for trash talking. It is not one that I personally would grade highly when judging a match as I see it as rather lazy but there is no rule against it.

Ok so I usually try to be pretty open minded about what I let you guys talk about OOC but it's getting to be a bit much here. Keep the insults in character, and make sure they don't trail into OOC in your IC work either.

Chill out Erik. Its an old rule that Shane bumped as a reminder. We are not sayong fo rehash on every bit of your story, but summarize whats going on. Like a "Last time on this episode" type if thing. A lot of guys do it already, but a lot of new guys arent aware of it.
