END OF YEAR AWARD - NOMINEES - Atticus Gold - 12-15-2019
The following is a list of awards and their nominees. We are showing you the list to build intrigue/hype whatever you want to call it. The GM team will decide a winner for each category and the winners will be announced close to the end of December in a separate award show. Winners will be PMed beforehand so that they may write and send an IC acceptance speech for the award ceremony. Feel free to comment whatever you like on this thread both IC and OOC.
With that out of the way, here we are and congrats to the nominees.

Then, I will! Here's my two cents, I highlighted my picks below. I didn't vote in any of my categories except one and it's because I didn't vote for me.

ALL THE GILLY'S!!!
Seriously though, some of those were real tough to vote for. But I stand by my choices. Sarah Lacklan has clearly been a standout, a truly amazing year taking the place by storm. I really, really had a tough time picking between Vita and Noah/Fuzz for angle of the year. I LOVE the dynamic between Noah and Fuzz, but Vita's angle barely inched it out because it was probably the best example of spinning cloth into gold I've seen in a very long time. Top Face was really hard to, with Centurion barely edging out Ruby (BARELY), but then I threw top prospect to Ruby to make up for it.
Heel was also a tough category for me. Based on sheer character affinity alone, and Soldier really speak to me, but they both have "strikes" (quote unquote) against them in that Shane wasn't active for most of the year and Soldier shocked everybody and built up a real head of steam before leaving. Page was very prevalent during the year too, and Fuzz had a very strong end of year, but I ended up settling for someone who thoroughly entertained me when he was here and had a great shocking Cash in and thats Soldier.
I also did vote for swerve of the year and picked Soldier's cash in. As far as my inclusion goes, I wasn't quite clear if it was a reference to the original Engineer showing up in Lux's promos or this new Engineer angle I'm running, but either way those things are largely contained to my character backstory (for now) whereas the cash in upset the whole main event picture, so I'm giving the cash in more weight.
re:END OF YEAR AWARD - NOMINEES - Centurion - 12-15-2019
I gave my IC thoughts about these on my Twitter, so I'm going to respond OOC here. Some of these are REAL tough.

In terms of who was in the top spot for most of the year, I have to give it to Lux. Main's reign was great, Lacklan was nuts all year, and Soldier gave us some good months, but Lux was on it all year and was involved in some of the biggest stuff.
Tag Team/Stable of the Year
For the best Team of the year. Who has put out the best promos, character development and/or angles.
Apex Prophecy (Drew Archyle, Robert Main, James Raven, Centurion & Ned Kaye)
5'2 Mafia (Kenzi Grey & Sarah Lacklan) Sick Cunts (Noah Jackson & Fuzz)
The Brotherhood (Chris Page & Friends)
Voting against myself here. Apex Prophecy is a great, dominating stable that includes an all time legend in the business...and James Raven, but we were also disjointed at times. 5'2" Mafia were probably the best tag team in terms of overall RP quality, but Fuzz and Noah have been one of the most entertaining acts of the year.

Shane
I couldn't vote for Page because he hasn't really been a heel the entire time. And I couldn't vote for Fuzz because his personality is more tweener-esque. Soldier, meanwhile - there's no question where he lands. The most despised Universal Champion in 2019, and that's a compliment

Always entertaining. There's never a dull or disappointing moment. When I see a promo posted, it's pretty much a guarantee that I'll enjoy it. And working with him is an absolute treat. I consider myself fortunate for the few times that we were booked on the same team. Both as Azrael Erebus and Donovan Blackwater.

[*]"Notorious" Ned Kaye
[*]Drew Archyle
[*]Centurion [*]Ruby
Ruby is probably my favorite face character, of all time and that's saying a lot cause usually I go for heel or grey scale characters. Rarely do I enjoy the purely good ones, so the fact that her character won me over, is quite the feat. Seriously, she's utterly spectacular. A real, true Super Dear-O. Her adventures always serve up a helping of fun and amusement.
Heel of the Year
Who has portrayed the best Heel persona of the majority of their run here.
[*]"Chronic" Chris Page
[*]Fuzz
[*]Unknown Soldier [*]Shane
I've seen many different incarnations of this character. I've also had the pleasure of working with him on several occasions in the past. As Griffin MacAlister, N.A.Z.I and Azrael Erebus (As his aliases Mr. Satellite, Mr. Supernova and Lux Lyden). Each time proved to be it's own special treat. I also gm'd alongside him on Shove-It as Arkin Octavian Blackwater, back when that was a reoccurring weekly thing and a couple times on Warfare as Giovanni Ferrari, when he lent a helping hand a few times. I've seen him go from insane, babbling, potato loving lunatic to hardcore heel and he always manages to astound and delight. No matter the angle or swerve, he's always willing to go along with the story, all in the name of having a good time. Although, if I am being truly honest, I like it when he plays the villain the best. There's something about his particular brand of bad guy that really leaves a lasting impact and this most recent version, did not fail to live up to expectations.
Tweener of the Year
Who has been a bit flip-floppy but has still been entertaining through the majority of their run.
[*]Vita Valenteen
[*]Robert Main [*]Lux / The Engineer
[*]Big D
As I mentioned before, grey scale characters usually tend to be my favorites. Ever since I was very young, I tend to go for the Anti-Hero. No one is more grey scale then the Engineer. Engy has gone from evil genius to heartwarming and endearing and he can pull it off perfectly. The balance between his characteristics is exceptionally well written. You really find yourself getting pulled into his world, no matter what the direction takes you in. From tear jerking moments to mad cap adventures to moments when you really feel the sting of his cutting remarks, there's no telling what you might experience next. There is one thing for certain though, the material will be fantastic. Well thought out and delivered and consistently amazing.

It was fun seeing the return of past icons. I might not have known all of them cause I didn't start rping until June of 2012 (as Griffin MacAlister, he was my first creation) but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the nostalgia. Kudos to Raven for putting the event together. You rock dude.
Show of the Year

Suprise/Swerve of the Year

[*]Unknown Soldier cash-in
[*]Return of The Engineer
[*]The Motherfuckers break up
[*]Vita Valenteen heel turn
This was the best swerve ever! A real "Holy Shit!" moment. I was totally taken off guard by it and wasn't expecting such an epic turn of events to occur. Soldier effectively stunned the world with an outstanding cash in. The cash in that rocked the globe on it's axis.
Rookie of the Year
Who joined the XWF this year and proved to be a top prospect. This award is for people who joined the past year, past experience does not count.
[*]Sarah Lacklan
[*]"Notorious" Ned Kaye
[*]Big D [*]Ruby
Ruby is an amazingly talented writer, probably one of my favorite newbies. She's positive and uplifting and as I mentioned before, everything that I normally don't go for in a character and yet, she managed to hook my interest. In truth, I only expect her future here to get brighter.
Newcomer/Most Improved of the Year
Who is new to the world of wrestling and made an impact or who has gone through the most improvement this year.
[*]Thunder Knuckles

[*]Drezdin [*]Brian Storm
Haha! I might be slightly biased because Brian is my fiancé irl. Only slightly though. Maybe like 10% biased. The rest is all honest feedback. He has never rp'd before and managed to make quite the successful career. The fact that he uses an X-Box One to produce his material, only adds to the amazing nature of his work. I think he's made epic strides, since he first joined the XWF, earlier this year and I'm tremendously proud of all of his accomplishments. I am certain his future will be even greater and I can't wait to see how far he's destined to soar. You can't catch this shooting star!
Storyteller of the Year

Not voting on this... for obvious reasons, lol.
Trash Talker of the Year
Who can spit straight facts and make someone their bitch?
I really enjoy when Soldier talks down to someone. There's something deeply satisfying about his smack talk. When he busts someone's balls, it's always that special type of mean or sarcastic. Leaves quite the lasting impression and always promises to be enthralling. At least, it does in my book. I'm a huge fan of shit talk though. When it's well executed and funny. Which is primarily the case with trash talk, done by Unknown Soldier. I know when I see that white text start and he goes on a roll with his trash talk, I'm in for something special. A real treat to read..
Top Prospect for 2020
Who to look out for in 2020.
TK! He's all about the X-Bux! His story writing abilities are top tier amazeballs too. Some of my biggest "LOL!" moments have been had when I read his work. And I hope to one day team up and collab with him in the future. I think that would be just wonderful.

Wrestler of the Year
For the best Singles wrestler of the year. Who has put out the best promos, character development and/or angles.
Lux / The Engineer
Robert Main
Unknown Soldier
Sarah Lacklan
Dominance, plain and simple. From the fact that no one was able to take the TV title from Lux, to his taking over the top title in the fed, there is no one more deserving, in my opinion. Main is a close second for yet another incredible run.
Tag Team/Stable of the Year
For the best Team of the year. Who has put out the best promos, character development and/or angles.
Apex Prophecy (Drew Archyle, Robert Main, James Raven, Centurion & Ned Kaye)
5'2 Mafia (Kenzi Grey & Sarah Lacklan)
Sick Cunts (Noah Jackson & Fuzz)
The Brotherhood (Chris Page & Friends)
Hilarious duo that really gels as a unit.
Face of the Year
Who has portrayed the best Face persona for the majority of their run here.
"Notorious" Ned Kaye
Drew Archyle
Centurion
Ruby
Ned took the fed by storm and made an impact, both in wins and just overall monopolization of the conversation.
Heel of the Year
Who has portrayed the best Heel persona of the majority of their run here.
"Chronic" Chris Page
Fuzz
Unknown Soldier
Shane
Came in and rolled through the fed. What a run for Soldier.
Tweener of the Year
Who has been a bit flip-floppy but has still been entertaining through the majority of their run.
Vita Valenteen
Robert Main
Lux / The Engineer
Big D
Enough said.

The amount of work that went into this event was a thing of legend. It was also so cool to learn so much about the people/characters that paved the way for the XWF.

END OF YEAR AWARD - NOMINEES - Atticus Gold - 12-19-2019
Small update.
We are going to be adding. Match writer of the Year
Who has put out the best quality matches and regularly take matches to write.
Big D
Chris Page
James Raven
Mastermind
Noah Jackson
Trying to think of a good name for this award that works in character. So far we have Booker of the Year which doesn't really represent fully the work done. Or Locker Room Leader. Which is what we're leaning toward, if anyone has suggestions we're happy to hear them.
Next award is Promoter of the Year
Who has helped promote the fed to an outside audience this past year.
CTN/Kenzi Grey
Ned Kaye
Sarah Lacklan
Vinnie Lane
And we also have a few smaller awards we're spit balling such as Best Dressed, Best Theme Music and Best Finisher. Which may end up being in the award show but may not.
We've also talked about being assholes and creating GM/Staff of the Year which you guys can vote on just for the fun of it to create drama/tension where there is none. Probably won't be in the award show though. Unless I win of course.
Thank you.
PS - Forgot to mention, the list of awards and the nominations can be mentioned in RPs where applicable. If you wish to keep kayfabe and not use terms like heel/face these can be replaced with villian/hero, bad guy/good guy, asshole/teachers pet, etc.
