JUNE RPOTM - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 07-06-2021

Sorry for the delay, everyone, lots of family-related holiday goings on for me, so I was pretty much away for the entire extended weekend. I'll never leave you alone again, I promise!

Anyway!

Let's get some voting on for what stood out as the best RP of the month of June. Now, there were only a handful of shows in June with just the Retro Anarchy in the first two weeks - but I think a lot of good stuff came from everyone anyway!

I grabbed a few that really stuck out to ME personally, and threw those up on the list above. As always, there are many, MANY possible contenders, so do not expect an exhaustive list of nominees here.

Click to vote and then drop a comment giving us your logic! Thanks!

Here's the links to the promos:

Chris Chaos - 5. OOC
Thunder Knuckles - WET OR OILY ROADS
Betsy Granger - http://xwf99.com/showthread.php?tid=41014
"Nefarious" Ned Kaye - http://xwf99.com/showthread.php?tid=41055
"Dolly Waters" - This Ain't A Match! It's A Massacre!!
Eobard Stone - Clue Without Blue
Jim Caedus - -APEX- Productions Presents...'Cana Clit Clipper
Thaddeus Duke - Cheers

And as usual, you may choose OTHER to point out a different RP that wasn't listed!

WOOHOO!

JUNE RPOTM - Thunder Knuckles™ - 07-06-2021

Cheers, Duke.

JUNE RPOTM - Marf - 07-06-2021

Voted other, one for Lycana and one for Atara. There’s a reason these two beauties are battling it out for superstar of the month. They both brought their A+ game all month long I can’t even pick one specific promo from either. All of their promos this month were pure fire baby.

re:JUNE RPOTM - Lycana - 07-06-2021

I picked two here as well.

First, from the list I picked Jim Caedus. From the moment he came back I admired his writing and the fire he brought. I think he has consistently brought his game, and having a taste of it myself, I think he more than deserves this.

I also picked Other, and I'm going with Marf. I loved the heat in this particular RP, and so many parts made me laugh. I think its been one of his best so far, without a doubt.

My “other” vote goes to Alias:
“Return to reality”

Still need some votes here folks! Try not to vote for everyone all at once, that doesn't help at all!

In cases like this you could always do a second poll... take the leading vote getters, stick them in a new poll and limit voters to one choice.

re:JUNE RPOTM - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 07-08-2021

No, we'll just remind everyone that you get one vote - I will set the poll appropriately moving forward. I'll also remind everyone that you need to actually comment and tell us WHY.

It's nothing new but it's been pretty lax lately.

Oh, okay, haha.

I liked Cheers a lot. Especially as someone who just came back and is effectively a new reader, it helped me to see the larger picture of how each character connects with or opts to not connect with Thad. I think so many RPs happened in a vacuum universe that don't intersect with any other characters in the fed, it was fun to see the exact opposite, where it was only character intersections and interactions.

To expand on this, I really enjoyed seeing Alias in a more natural, non-surreal setting. I thought he developed his own character very well while effectively dressing down his opponent. Pleasure to read.

JUNE RPOTM - JimCaedus - 07-09-2021

I threw my vote to Betsy's entry for a few reasons. She was one of the characters I was unfamiliar with but from what I had heard on the podcast (as is true with several other names, the podcast really is an awesome addition to the fed) I was very much looking forward to reading her work. I wasn't disappointed when I got the chance. Enter this very cool series; the character Betsy Granger is already fascinating and the Studio 54 content only made her work that much more entertaining to read. It was awesome to see all of Apex-Legacy in there as well. And yeah, I did fanboy tf out specifically seeing Jim Caedus in Granger promos lol
