So!

I feel that in light of recent issues as well as just a general need to change things up from time to time, it is appropriate to make a change with regards to the Federweight and Heavy Metalweight Titles.

I am going to get rid of those two individual titles and sort of merge them into one 24/7 style title.

Here's where we come to a conundrum - I'm not sure what the best or most popular idea might be.

We came up with a couple options, though, so let me know what you guys like best.


1) Some sort of Discord or Twitter Title that can change hands based on Tweets or in the Discord IC channel.

I'm not 100% sure how realistic this one is, especially since there are members of the fed or alt characters who are not represented this way. BUT, it was an idea!


2) A 24/7 Title which is judged, similarly to the Feder already is, but not dependent solely on trash talk - just short posts of 1,000 words or so maximum.

Obviously this runs the risk of alienating weaker writers and favoring stronger ones, but I think that's probably true already with the Feder. The HMW really doesn't have any representation at all, but I don't necessarily think it needs any. Probably just an obsolete concept.


3) A 24/7 Title with no sort of judging, just pin and kickout within a certain timeframe.

This would probably be a short time window, 4 hours or so. This would be the most similar to what WWE does I imagine, and have the ability to change hands a LOT.


4) ???

Personally I like the unjudged shorter format. You can still keep the hidden pins and whatnot, but with those two titles 12hrs is a long time. You don’t want to alienate anyone from competing for them. Should it be defended on a show Anarchy rules seem to be the best fit.

How about that it's like the Xtreme, but whether a kick out or pin attempt is successful or not depends on the quality of the writing of each. Does somebody have a really cool pin attempt? They win. Does somebody have an interesting kick out and then follow up? They retain.

You could jazz it up instituting a rule saying that anyone who has it for 2, 3, 4 weeks of whatever gets an auto shot at the big daddy 24/7 title the Xtreme.

Aside from that, I personally wouldn't care if they just went away but I know some people like them

I like the idea of them getting an X shot eventually, though holding these belts for any real length of time really just boils down to how often they get attempted.

I'm not sure if the first bit you described is specific enough. Sounds more like the judged version I mentioned above but maybe just without any word length expectation?

May be a dumb idea, but why not turn it into a 24/7 Tag Title? Let it function almost just like the XTreme, but with tag title shots if a team can keep them so long. still keep trash talking as a part of the judging aspect along with an added bonus for pin creativity.

Yeah I guess the only issue with this is that it's essentially just the HMW as it already is. Maybe with a shorter window, but functionally the same.

That's interesting... I like the idea of it but I think it could be a disaster in practice. Might be worth thinking about though. Different from everything else we have done, for sure.

I don't have any particular ideas here, just a couple of considerations worth mentioning.

- If we're putting word limits on it, don't do 1000. Keep it smaller (500? 750?). 1000 is a full rp for those who prefer Anarchy, and we want this to be a rapid thing, right?

- 4-6 hours is really short. How feasible will that be to manage from your side of things, Vinnie?

Yeah it is like that option and it would be judged, but it would be more about general writing ability than specific trash talk. There could be word limits and maybe a 6 hour deadline to respond to keep the frenzied nature of the title intact. But then of course it would be much harder to retain than the Xtreme, although I guess the HMW and Feder always kinda were.[/b]

Nearly impossible if I were going to try and keep swapping the belt logo back and forth, etc. If it were something I just kept up on at the end of the day or what-have-you then maybe not a big deal. TBH the current 24/7 titles COULD move that quickly as well, they just never really do.

You're probably right on the word limit. 500 or so seems reasonable.

The difference between the X and the others, at least in my opinion, has always been that the X-Treme Champion really kinda has the advantage to retain. All he has to do is show up on time. That's because he actually has to defend his title in actual matches as well... with it being the second highest prize in the fed, I don't want it to be THAT easy for it to change hands, after all.

The Feder and the HMW, really the advantage goes to the one making the attempt. It's easier to win them than to keep them. That's because the idea was always supposed to be that they switch a lot and just give people something to do and talk about.

Yeah it is like that option and it would be judged, but it would be more about general writing ability than specific trash talk. I could see where it might get hectic. I think it would be really cool to see people you wouldn’t expect start to work together and form tag teams. Any of the chaos though I’m sure could be massaged with post limits, pin-per-day caps and obviously nothing over 500 words per teammate.

Yeah I guess part of the issue is how do you determine the teams? Do we need people to announce a team-up first or is it just like any two idiots who come together at the same time just to grab a title and declare themselves a team? And if they are the champs, do they swap out partners at will? Who pins who? Are there two pins needed?

4 - 6 hours is too short, it'll lead to people never trying to kickout which is just boring and kills the fun of it

I really, really, really hope that the hmw title still exists, but with a word limit.

The federweight has always seemed abit redundent to me, if u wanted to do trashtalk why not just have match?
