So some people think I cheated and while I can't say if he was aware or unaware until it was too late I can tell you the truth
So...remember that I posted about wanting a tag team or a rival, well he was the only one to respond, and I was liking his character, so I said sure
Then he won the xtreme title and our goal instantly turned to the 2 week reign for a tag title shot
So at about 11 pm central time he tells me he is going to inactive for a little while, I mean we had worked on banners and such so I was fine with him taking some time off
However I also really wanted some gold....so I went for the pin, and hit the 12 hour limit as you all know
Was he aware of my attempt, seems likely but I didn't cheat and you guys, some of which I've had the pleasure of knowing for 2-3 years deserve to know the truth
If you want to strip me of the belt that's fine, I won't even count it if you do but you deserve to know

Hey man, you stepped up quite a bit doing this, and I wanna say, I'm proud of you. I dunno what the GM's are gonna do, but I can safely say you earned some of my respect.

As I said in the Skype chat, wouldn't be the first time I've seen somebody not kickout to pass the title off to a buddy or whatever. I think the problem comes in when people think that he did it to avoid losing it in his next match and think you were going to give it right back to him after he lost his next match.

I will continue to until notified but thanks man,
and thanks Mav, I know our little tag duo never happened but I still want to do that at some point.....
as for Strange well I dunno, I don't hate the guy, I'm kind of pissed that he caused you all so much trouble but I don't see why anything further then what he was already given needs to be taken towards him...

The main issue was him being logged in while the pin was open, viewing the pin thread multiple times while it was open, posting elsewhere on the boards instead, and choosing to NOT kickout any of the times he viewed the pin. That's why I replied mentioning that he wouldn't be able to go for the X-treme title at all moving forward.
Since he did manage to defend it a few times since winning it, and didn't instantly drop the title to somebody, I'll allow things to continue on as they have with you being the new champ. Who knows, maybe you'll hold it for a long enough time to gain a briefcase and successfully cash in on the Uni title!

When I found out the news of this, I was extremely pissed. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have tried, time and time again to win the title. My first roleplay here was an attack on Evertrust. My next attempt being on Doc, even an attack on him when he could no longer have the title. Then I became sicker and sicker. I've tried to win that time so many times, it's ridiculous. Trax has the most pin attempts from me. I did, what? Three or four? So when I read about what happened, I was extremely pissed. But, you came out about this. I commend you on that, and I hope you defend it well. When my SL ends, I'll try my hand at pinning again. For now, enjoy the reign, and don't do this shit again.
Long as you actually plan defend the title then its cool.

From everything I'm reading, the Rev isn't the one who might have done anything wrong. Be pissed at LeStrange if you want, although I'd also counter that if Rev is to be understood correctly, it's completely possible that LeStrange simply knew he wasn't going to be around enough to consistently defend it, so he didn't bother trying. I'm not getting the sense that there was any sort of plan to keep the title from moving in the actual match, and Shane even said he didn't think it would have.

Gold Week sound good?
You don't owe me a shot in all fairness I lost the title fair and square, I was just pissed off because I lost the title to someone w evidently was too much of a bitch to try and defend it properly, if I win the tag team titles i'll pass and earn a shot at a later date because I'll have my hands full defending those with robbie that week, but if I don't win I'll leave it in managements hands who gets a shot at your title man.

Honestly dawg, you didn't do anything wrong. Unless LeStrange told you privately to pin him and he would not kick out. And even then, I have more issue with the guy who laid the title down.

So why is anyone upset at all with Rev?
That shit. However, I'm no longer upset with this situation. All I'm saying is don't do it again. Partners or not, if you get told by the X-Treme champ he's going inactive for a bit, and you decide to do an attack having said knowledge, it's wrong. However, he manned up, and I'm not upset anymore. I hope he does well.
Is it, though? Because when Soldier was X champ, we all knew Baseball Season was coming, and that we'd be able to pin him easier. If we took it, would that be wrong, or just playing the game? I'm pretty sure it's just playing the game. Cause Strange did actually have time to kick out, and could have. Rev didn't know for sure he wouldn't. Or how long he'd be gone. A while to you is 12 hours. It could 8 to Rev.

If the X champ were to tell me he were inactive I'd pin his ass as soon as I could. That's on him. Why would I sit back idly so someone else could win it?

Exactly. Besides, like Frodo pointed out, LeStrange DID have the chance to kick out. He just decided not to.
My question then is - do you have an OBLIGATION to kick out if you can? Or can you decide the responsibility of defending it 24/7 is too much and let it go?
If I knew I couldn't defend for a while, I might just not bother.
Are you saying that the right thing to do would be to have an inactive champion and we all wait around until he loses it in a match?
If the current champ were planning on being inactive they would hopefully inform someone on the staff, preferably me, and I'd decide how to handle it on a case by case basis. If they have the time to be wandering the boards and posting elsewhere, and viewing the pin thread multiple times however, I see that as a problem and that just means that person doesn't get to go for that title again in the future. (or whatever outcome I decide is fitting based on how long they had it and other variables) At least he did spend some time kicking out and didn't instantly drop the title after winning it, so it could have been worse I guess.

Yeah I can see all that, I'm just a little baffled by the heat Rev is catching in particular. Also just giving some "devil's advocate" perspective on why things may have gone down. I've got no reason to think Rev is a liar, so if things went the way he says they did... did anyone do anything wrong?
I have no issue with how Rev went about it. Even if he was aware of what was going to happen, like Dick E said, it's normal to want to go for it. The issue is when the person with the title decides to turn it into a joke by still being online and posting around while ignoring the pin, plus the added reply after the pin with a little devil's face or whatever it was he did just to further enforce to us all that he knew what he was doing.
