Anyone who does any of the following gets banned:
1) Uses OOC material in their roleplays to directly attack other handlers of made up characters. It would be like me deciding to target you (the person behind the screen) even though I'm supposed to be targeting your e-fed character.
2) Copies work from ANY outside source, OR has work that is ghost written by another writer injected into their own work so they can win matches they otherwise would have lost. This directly insults the intelligence of the staff, and even more so, is a slap in the face to the competitors who accepted a challenge from that cheating individual. How would you like to take a loss to somebody who you later found out DID NOT write all their own work?
3) Verbally attacks me, any member of my staff, or any member of our roster; even it it takes place outside of our forums. If it happens on Skype, through e-mail, or even some other means. If you're aggressively attacking or spending time attempting to spread lies ABOUT another person, you're gone. You cannot claim that the staff here doesn't know what they're doing just because you lost a match to somebody who roleplayed better than you did. You cannot spread lies about the people who've beaten you, and claim that they've cheated when in all actuality they did no such thing. Basically if you're spending your time talking shitty to (or about) any other members here, and it's "out of character" then you do not deserve to be here. NOBODY here deserves to be disrespected... period.
4) If you're asked if you can follow a rule in the event that I give you a chance to be a member of the staff, or to run a show, but you CHALLENGE my rule instead of saying "Yes, sir - I can follow your rules and I appreciate you even considering talking to me about this" then you do not understand what it means to work UNDER another person of authority and you have no place in my fed as a member of the staff. You do not throw a fit when asked if you can follow a rule, or if you can keep outside drama OUTSIDE. Once you do that, I'm going to lose all respect for you just like you did for me when you decided to spit in my face over me asking you a simple question about whether or not you can follow my rules of "no outside drama/bs is allowed to influence you, at all."
5) If you spam one of our members in any way, shape, or form (meaning giving them links to other feds, or even so much as going out of your way to inform them of your new fed in hopes they will JOIN you) you are going to be banned permanently. This is a rule almost every single e-fed in existence agrees on and does NOT tolerate. In fact, spamming can be the one thing online that hurts you the most if you insist on doing it, because it WILL get your IP address reported to multiple online databases and blacklists and legitimate providers do not appreciate that. It also will hurt the fed you are spamming for. Spam can be tracked, traced, and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt both from my end and the end of the service provider.
I'm pretty sure those main 5 rules wrap it up. Don't do any of those and you won't ever be banned.
Oddly enough, I've come along in this game for nearly 15 years without having people break those rules except on extremely rare occasions. It's mind blowing that so many people have broken them in the last month, but that also means we've sifted through all the garbage now and only kept the good people. That in itself means we're about done with any issues, aside from already banned members just re-joining and trying to troll our forums, which I will of course ban AGAIN because it's the same person under a new name.
Does anyone here feel they cannot adhere to these common rules that are actually incredibly easy to follow if you're here to have fun? If you're not here to have fun, you probably should leave anyway because we're basically a game for those who enjoy competing with their writing. Games are supposed to be fun.
