Now, I don't often mark out, but there have been a few times. Usually when Undertaker does something awesome. But I was watching TNA and never expected to mark out due to a TNA segment.

But when the Aces & Eights stood in the ring with the Main Event Mafia for the main event, and AJ Styles' music hit, with him walking down the ramp with his hood up.........

I liked the New AJ, but loved the old AJ Styles.

.......he tossed his head back and threw his arms out to the sides, I lost it. I was like the girl at prom who was just named prom queen. It was awesome.

What about everyone else? Any specific moment when you marked out?

Yeah dude, I AJ Styles is great. I've met the guy in real life. Man has so much passion in his eyes. WWE missed the mark with him. SO when he flips the hood back, it made me feel all giddy inside.

There is one moment in time where I marked out so hard I think I pulled something.

I went to a Smackdown taping in early May with two lady friends who are also hardcore into wrasslin'. We got some good seats. Second tier, on the side that would be being filmed, right at the end of the row near the stairs.. I marked out pretty hard for Daniel Bryan, throwing up the "YES!" arms and all that. Had some other moments.

But the biggest markout of the night was when the Shield's music hit. I lost it. All three were standing mere feet from me. I got to touch Roman Reigns's arm. I went total fanboy.

On a creepy note: he smelled like strawberries.

I can say I completely marked out when Triple H pedigreed Bryan this past Sunday, it was the first time in a while I had actually marked out HUGE for something, it was incredibly awesome and I'm hoping they bring HBK into this somehow because I will most likely mark out even more.

Just a random few:

-When Mick Foley first became WWE champion. I was a HUGE Foley fan around this time (still love Foley but not as much as I did then) ...Even though I was already told previously by mom who read the spoilers...I was still marking out when he finally did it...hell I still mark out every time I see it.

-The series of matches Bryan and McGuinness had in ROH, specifically the match at Unified and the 60 min 2 out of 3 falls match that they had. Just two matches that is good from beginning to end. Also like to throw in the four way between Black, Bryan, McGuinness and Castagnoli for the ROH title.

-HBK vs. Taker 2 ...simply because I had a amazing seats for it and was there to witness it live.

-Meeting Daniel Bryan at WM 26

EDIT: also like to throw in, two TNA matches.... AJ Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett at Hard Justice back at 2005, when he hits the Spiral Tap and hearing Tenay and West freaking out...I get goose bumps

The other match being Team Jarrett vs. Team Sting, Lethal Lockdown. AJ climbing on a ladder that is on top of the cage, hanging from the beams and hitting a huge splash from literally the top of the arena down to James Storm on the table.

To find John, turn those lights out because he will then appear...

My first markout moment was the first WWE/wrestling PPV I watched which was WrestleMania 15 when Stone Cold beat The Rock to win the WWE title.

Some various other markout moments not in any particular order:

The infamous CM Punk promo in 2011. Holy shit! Attitude-Era-esque and it had been so long since I had heard a promo go off like that and wow. Always been a Punk guy and that promo is a defining promo in the last 10 years to me.

The first Matt Hardy-Lita kiss. I was a huge Hardy Boys fan back in the day as well as a huge Lita fan and I was young and didn't know all the real-life stuff between them, but to see that was crazy as a kid!

The debut of the Nexus. Ya I know they didn't last but that debut is something that will always stick to me. The chaos that they caused that first night was crazy.

Rock beating Cena at WrestleMania 28. I was rooting for Rock being the non-Cena guy I am but I had the feeling deep-down that the "Golden Boy" was likely going to win considering The Rock was part-time and hardly around but to my shock and excitement, Rocky won. Loved seeing The Attitude Era beat the Cena era.

The entire Shield vs. Ryback/Team Hell No TLC match. First time that I really got to watch the three Shield guys in a match considering I hadn't really kept up with NXT or the indys that weren't TNA at that time so hadn't seen Reigns or Ambrose/Moxley or Rollins/Black, just basically all on reputation. and then you got Ryback who was big at that time and then Team Hell No was on a roll, and that match was so physical and brutal, about as brutal as a match could really get in this era. I was already kinda into the Shield then but I truly "believed" in the Shield after that match. That spot with Ryback and Rollins through the table, holy shit!

any TNA moments?

Kurt Angle's debut, when he headbutt Samoa Joe I was like "Oh SHIT!" cause I was really into TNA back then (a lot more than I am now) that was big

Mick Foley vs Ric Flair last man standing in 2010. Although looking back now, I would say neither of the two really had any business in this match in 2010 (it woulda been better in the 90's then again its TNA) for what it was, it was a hell of a match and showed that Mick even in 2010 still could put on a hell of a hardcore match and he is one of my all-time favorites and I enjoyed the brutality and was like "OH SHIT" cuz honestly I didn't know that Mick still had it in him lol

those are some of my mark-out moments

I marked pretty bad when I met my favorite wrestler Edge at the fan access tour before wrestlemania 23. And I marked out when I was at a TNA live event at a baseball stadium and my seats were in front of the dugout. Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle and Kazarian were all fighting on the dugout and Daniels and AJ fell into where I was sitting. Fucking awesome lol

There are very few mark out moments for me. I marked out pretty good over CM Punks worked shoot promo and his subsequential win at Money in the Bank against John Chaina. I have a tendency to mark out every time Punk turns heel, since he's so much better at being a heel.

Also, when it comes to the Undertaker, I mark out like a little girl at a Justin Beiber concert.

True story.

I went to that god awful Unforgiven in Cleveland when they had those stupid scrambl matches. I had no idea Taker would be there. Then the lights went out and his music hit and.... yeah.... screaming mark out moment...

To be completely honest, there's very few reasons I have to even watch wrestling anymore, once Taker is done and Punk is done, my watching days will probably fade off into the sunset.

- HBK winning the iron man match against Bret.

- Austin beating HBK for the championship.

- A ton of Austin moments.

- Most of Undertaker's returns.

- Jericho's WWE debut.

- Jericho winning the Undisputed Championship.

- Formation of WCW/ECW Alliance during the Invasion story.

- Benoit winning the championship at Mania.

- Eddie winning the championship at Mania.

- RVD defeating Cena for the championship.

- Punk winning the championship @ MITB

- Bryan defeating Cena for the championship.

For TNA:

I'd say Christian showing up for the first time was my mark out moment. I thought when that happened that TNA might become something big later on. Boy was I wrong.

Here's a couple off the top of my head.

#1 forever and always: Hogan marches down to the ring during Bash at the Beach 1996 to help fight off Scott Hall and Kevin Nash but instead leg drops Macho Man and delivers the speech that turned the wrestling world upside down... the nWo had arrived! Hogan was always one of my top favorites when I was younger so to see him turn heel and lead the nWo was just mind blowingly awesome at the time.

#2 CM Punk beating Cena at MITB in Chicago! I was there for that one. Never before has a live crowd been that exciting to be a part of. No other wrestling event I have ever attended has been as insane as that one. Those fans ripped Cena a new asshole and blew the roof off the place for Punk. The tapes do not do it justice... to be there was just unbelievable.

#3 Kane's arrival and early days. Every single time the lights would go out and the organ began to play... because KANE was about to randomly attack another victim during Raw! Those first few weeks of Kane's character were the best; never knowing which match he'd interfere in as he tormented the entire WWE roster on his way to forcing Undertaker to finally face him 1 on 1. That invincible, mysterious, silent Kane was the most amazing thing ever created for those first few weeks. It didn't take them long to ruin him though. Good old WWE...

#4 Undertaker saving Macho Man and Elizabeth from being attacked by Jake The Snake Roberts backstage. This was during Taker's first run and he was still a heel. He had been teaming with Jake to terrorize Macho Man and Ultimate Warrior and company... but then one day out of nowhere when Jake was waiting to ambush Macho Man and Liz, just as Jake reached the chair back to swing, you saw that gray Undertaker glove grab the chair to stop it. It gave Macho Man and Liz just enough time to get out of the way and I think Macho Man hit Jake with something. The fact that Undertaker was thought of as so "evil" and everything was really fascinating to me when they had him turn against the fellow heel in Jake Roberts.

#5 Kevin Nash returning to WWE to attack Punk at the end of some PPV. The fact that they allowed the show to end with Nash returning and powerbumbing Punk REALLY made me believe they were going to give Nash a good run and do something fun. Then... they let HHH bury Nash. Wow... wow... did they fuck that one up. Oh well... at least the initial "mark out" when Nash came out of the crowd to attack Punk was fun. It made some of us longtime fans of the nWo days really believe there might have been a chance for 1 last nWo incarnation that might have been done right instead of ruined like what WWE did with the nWo before. There was SO much hope when Nash returned! It could have been the perfect set up for some of the old nWo crew to merge with some new blood and become something just as amazing as it was in the old WCW days. I think the way WWE brought Nash back only to do nothing with him other than have him put fucking HHH over is probably one of the BIGGEST LET DOWNS in WWE history, in my opinion.

Quote:That Invasion angle was bad... Real bad. Fucking terible, actually. BUT, it should have been so much better.

Meh, looking back I think it turned out as good as it ever was going to be. It's crazy how empty of momentum WCW was by the end of its run. When they did the angle, they were pretty much relying on DDP and Booker to carry the brand. That wasn't possible when you consider what the other side had. And they couldn't sign guys like Goldberg and Sting who were pretty much getting paid tons of money to sit around for a year.

Eventually, guys like Goldberg, Hogan and Flair signed on but that came much later (obviously at a more reasonable price than if they had purchased their contracts during the buyout...). They could have waited a couple of years to do the angle, but at the time, they were sitting on a hot storyline that people were expecting to see. It would've been stupid for them to wait.

I wouldn't say it was terrible though. It just became apparent that the storyline wasn't meant to go longer than 9 months and people got kind of mad because it wasn't possible for WWF to give them what they wanted.

Take the resources that WWF had back then and try to formulate something better. It just isn't possible when your top names are Buff Bagwell and Billy Kidman.

I just remembered another big moment that WWE royally fucked up immediately after it happened. When Undertaker's wife had a stalker and they kept airing the stalker segments week after week to build it up... and then... the stalker comes to the ring and removes his mask! It's DDP!!! HUGE MARK OUT MOMENT!!!!!!

I wasn't the biggest DDP fan but I saw this as something huge. They could have made this a great feud but instead they had DDP job to Taker and Kane several times in a variety of matches, completely burying DDP and killing off the creepy stalker gimmick they had started out so strongly with. Don't get me wrong... I'm a MUCH bigger Undertaker and Kane fan than I ever was of DDP but there's no way in hell they should have brought DDP in, done that much build up, and then had him fucking jobbing to Taker and Kane endlessly. I think the biggest "blow" DDP was ever allowed to land against them was when he gave Taker's wife the diamond cutter. The rest was pretty much DDP being destroyed week after week.

It's kind of how they really fucked up what COULD have been an interesting clash between The Rock and Booker T. For those who know the similarities there and how Booker T even was calling himself "The Peoples Champion" for a while in WCW, this match could have been huge. Booker T and Rock finally in the same company! What did they do instead? They had Rock ask Booker "who in the blue hell are you?" and proceed to bury him endlessly.

So basically WWE showed us that Booker T and DDP suck and are in NO WAY even a slight match for somebody WWE-grown like Rock or Taker. I think the "invasion" days could have been a lot better if they didn't have such a hard on for making WCW grown talent look weaker and more pathetic as they came through the door against the WWE-grown talent. Booker and DDP should have been the head of the invasion, but instead didn't they make Steve Austin and Kurt Angle the head of the invasion? Wow... two of their own home-grown guys leading the invasion side. I don't think they could have made it more clear that they wanted to humiliate and humble even the MEMORY some people had of WCW being better. It wasn't enough that WWE had bought them out... now they had to enforce that all of the WCW talent was inferior. Guys like Sting, Goldberg, etc... are so lucky they weren't a part of that. They would have had Sting jobbing to somebody like Billy Gun or something. Goldberg would have been brought in to lose to Steve Austin 40 times in a row.

Even as somebody who always preferred WWE over WCW, I felt robbed by how shitty they painted the WCW invasion and how inferior they made them all look.

Quote: It wasn't enough that WWE had bought them out... now they had to enforce that all of the WCW talent was inferior. Guys like Sting, Goldberg, etc... are so lucky they weren't a part of that.

But they were inferior if you look at the roster they had. Excluding Booker and DDP, they had:

Kidman - not well known
Helms - not well known
Kanyon - midcarder
Storm - midcarder
Stasiak- shit
O'Haire & Palumbo & Jindrak - rookies
Bagwell - shit
Morrus - midcarder
Chavo - midcarder
Torrie & Stacy - women

So with DDP and Booker they had Kanyon, Storm, Morrus, and Chavo. Not a bad group of six but far from being able to carry a brand.

I barely watched any WCW at the time. I was a a pro-WWF dude at the time and I didn't know or care about half of the guys that they brought in. DDP and Booker were cool but I didn't see them as being anywhere close to being at the level of Austin/Taker/Rock or even Angle, and that was right from the get-go. They were more at the level of Kane.

If guys like Sting, Goldberg, Flair and Hogan had been a part of that, I'm pretty sure it would have played out a lot differently. That just wasn't possible though since they were sitting comfortably on those big contracts.

I think even if the big names from WCW had gotten involved, that WWF still should have came out victorious. Come on, are you telling me you would rather see Hogan, Goldberg, and Nash as your top talent over Angle, Jericho, and Austin?

I just think they could have made it a lot more interesting with the names they did have access to using. Like I said, I always preferred WWE over WCW anyway and already thought of WCW as inferior so for me to feel like they really went overboard with burying WCW says a lot. lol I didn't need to see DDP come in and turned into an instant mid carder even though he was one of the top names in WCW and one of the best on the mic.

With DDP and Booker as the top two names, O'haire and Palumbo could have followed close behind them as they were already pretty established and were the WCW tag champs before that point anyway. From there the rest of the names could have been used as the guys to have lose to WWE talent 75%+ of the time, but at least give those top few guys some big momentum and don't have them losing to everyone they face. It should have been looked at like a big deal for one of the top WWE names to knock off one of the top WCW invaders, instead of being seen as what's expected night after night. It should have required the WWE guys to really rally together and fight for a common cause, which in turn should have led to some problems within the WWE camp and could have been what made some of them defect to the WCW side. It all could have been much better if they at least let it "seem" like a fair fight or like WCW stood a chance for at least a little while.

There have been five times where I have marked out and sadly none were for events that have happened while I have been alive

1: First time watching the 1995 royal rumble: even scripted that one foot HBK thing was awesome
2: the iron man match of wrestlemania 12: loved the announcement of an overtime period(note Bret only reacted like that because it wasn't in the script he had, completely non-scripted)
3: Scott Hall winning 1997 World War 3: No clue why it just happened
4: the first time I watched the Undertaker vs Mankind hell in a cell: that fall scared the fuck out of me and I flipped out
And 5: The Rock's heel turn at Survivor Series 1998

Oh wait I missed two that happened while I was alive

Getting to high five RVD TWICE at an ECW event over in LA Cross made me mark, he was facing Paul Heyman and I marked out big time

Getting a picture with Balls Mahony after the event at a gas station made me mark out

I guess I could also toss in some non wwe ones

1: I had a bet with Nick Collins at a tale gate tour that the Dolphins would beat Green Bay

I asked him "if he thought the Packers would beat the phins,"

Then he said "Come up here," (I was 10 at the time now 14)

I then got up on the stage thinking he would say something insulting about that question cause the phins suck

Instead he held out his hand, I shook hands with him and he said

"I guarantee you we will beat the Dolphins,"

After words during autograph signing he promised me two tickets to a Packer's home game if they lost

I thought he would've forgot but instead....

He gave me two 2nd row 49 yard line seats to the Packers 49ers game that year (cold as hell but still worth it)

Another time was two weeks before then

I was at the Vikings Packers game over in Minnesota (I live in Wisconsin so I was obviously rooting for Green Bay) anyways at about half time I said we should start a chant like "Fire Childress," *clap clap clapclapclap

And eventually the whole Dome was chanting it

My mark out moment was when I got home and watched it on the DVR as the announcers said

"And they're chanting Fire Childress," as the camera zoomed in on him
