Your XWF General Managers and moderators are always trying to come up with ways to make things more fun and to keep things interesting and challenging.
We've decided a few things:
First up is title matches. From now on, in order to challenge for the Hart or Intercontinental titles, you MUST have at least 20,000 xbux to your name OR earn a shot at one by winning a contendership match.
In order to be considered for an Xtreme Championship match you MUST have at least 50,000 xbux to your name. There is still the 24/7 boards for those that want to try that out and don't have the money yet.
In order to be considered for a Universal Championship match you MUST have at least 80,000 xbux to your name.
Keep in mind that these dollar amounts may increase or decrease over time.
We realize that on the surface these dollar amounts may look high. However, you are NOT purchasing a title match. By doing this, we as GM's get to ensure that only worthy contenders are vying for those opportunities. By setting a dollar minimum value to get title matches, it allows us to give back to those that are consistent roleplayers week to week. It allows us to look at names and say "this guy has been around for a bit and is consistently involved, let's give him a shot." It stops the fed as a whole from granting title matches to those that have just arrived on the scene when they've not yet had the opportunity to even become an integral member to the XWF roster.
Keep in mind, this new way of looking at title challengers does NOT pertain to those who already hold contenderships, like Vinnie Lane and Karl Cross currently do.
Now, with that out of the way, comes the part where we, as General Managers will help you to earn just a little extra money. Starting with today's (April 6th) Madness and continuing on Warfare from here on out, just like in real life wrestling companies, you will earn xbux just for showing up to your scheduled match. For regular undercard matches, you will now earn $350 per show. If you main event, or are in a title match you automatically earn $700. For submitted segments, you will earn $150. Keep in mind that its a one time payout per show, not per appearance per show. What that means is if you have more than one segment or more than one match, you still get paid only once.
This is our way of saying, yes we know the dollar amounts look high, but we want you all to get involved, and here's your incentive to do so. We don't mind giving anyone a bit of a boost.
The GM's will work hard to make sure that everyone is given their weekly "paycheck" within a few days of each show so there is no need to PM the GM's right after results post asking "where my money at bitch?" Now if a week goes by and you ain't got your bread yet, well then by all means PM the GM who posted the results of that show demanding your cut. Bonus points to anyone who includes pictures of hot babes. Or hot dudes if you are sending the PM to Oaktree.
I think that about covers it.
