If you've heard it already about complaining than it's not gossip that brought that to your doorstep but your own words.
You never explicitly said that Santos sucks but your initial post did. And by the way it wasn't Griffin who derailed your thread, it was you when you worded your initial post the way you did.
Yes this is a feedback board where people can ask for feedback, there are hundreds of examples of the proper way to do that, just scroll down the board and read some of them. When people ask for feedback the right way, they provide a link to a specific, or multiple pieces, they don't just make a statement such as yours.
But when you start a thread off and sound like a butthurt child than people are going to react and they are going to react negatively. This fed is as much a community as it is a fantasy wrestling site, when a new guy takes a shot at an establish vet others, such as Griff will come to his defense. While what Griff said may have been a bit harsh it was true.
You could have said a few other things, you seem like a bright guy so I won't waste my time going into detail about that but your response to Griffin feels like you are being purposefully obtuse.
Now to answer your specific questions, no one can tell you if you are right or wrong to feel the way you do, that's on you, and you alone. I can tell you that getting worked up over something that is meant to be a game is an issue and the most successful people in this place are not just excellent writers but people who don't think the world is crumbling when they lose.
It seems to me that you measure effort and dedication by the number of rps you post, as I told you before it's not about that, it never will be. I've seen guys post once and beat someone that's posted a handful of times. I've seen people post 4 rps and beat someone that posted 8.
Now, if you don't want to change your views that's fine, that's on you but I would suggest venting privately because a post like this does nothing but put you on everyone's radar and not in a good way. Which, is a shame given that your work is excellent and people do enjoy reading it.
Now, I am locking the thread before it gets any uglier, if you wish to continue this discussion you know how to contact me or any of the other GM's and they can give you reasons why you lost a specific match and or general pointers.
