When, where and how did I start e-fedding? Well, actually, I started in THIS very e-fed...more or less. I'm 26 and I first became a wrestling fan during the Monday Night Wars, back in 1998. My family got the internet near the end of 1999, and two-three months later somehow or another I heard about "electronic wrestling" online. I did a search on it(no Google yet I don't think...yes I really am old lol) and found something called the National eWrestling Alliance(which is still around). Basically it was a collection of efeds, each representing a different "territory" with shared championships and supershows, like the real NWA. The fed I joined, I can't remember the name of it was but weirdly enough it was the Australian territory. I didn't know what I was doing and the guys there were assholes to me so I wasn't there long. Then I found a site listing the top 100 e-feds and the ORIGINAL version of this fed was listed there. So I joined the XWF in about April of 2000 back when Jonathyn Brown was running it the first time.
The characters back then included Fran Damage, Migraine, "Da Original Gangsta" Jayzon Williamz, Bonecrusher, Frenzy etc., there was a big stable called Carnival Souls of Anarchy, the two main shows were Massacre and Anarchy on Mondays and Thursdays, the titles were the Universal, Heavyweight, X-Treme, Cruiserweight(I think) and Hart championships. The original XWF page I remember was on Angelfire or Geocities or one of those, it had a "space" background with what looked like stars and a black logo with a green glow around it. It had been founded by some kid named George 4:69 the year before but the more capable Jonathyn had taken over. Then I remember he had to leave it for awhile, and there was a new site, with a new layout that was really detailed and badass. I ended up being part of XWF through most of 2000 and 2001. I checked back in from time to time and made a couple of brief returns over 2002-2003 I think, then I lost track of it. I never forgot the fed though and I just found it again yesterday. I haven't been in efedding since I was a young teen but I'd like to participate again. I wonder if anyone here now was actually around when I was in XWF before.
