...
Dave's Internet Wrestling Federation!
LMAO! I'm not kidding! And yet somehow it was incredibly popular and busy. The reason I found out e-feds existed was because I used to play MAIL wrestling where you'd send in your "strategy" on paper along with which matches you want to actually pay for (yes, you had to pay!) and then later that month you'd get a large report of maybe 5 to 10 pages with all the matches and things that took place for that entire cycle aka month.
The play-by-mail system was called the IWA (Imaginary Wrestling Association) and I believe it's still around to this day, but much less popular than it was back in like 1996 or whenever that was. They used to have ads in some wrestling magazines and that's how I found out about the IWA. So, even though the IWA did NOT involve actual roleplaying and was more of a strategy/numbers game, it's still the reason I eventually found out about e-feds because I got to thinking "there MUST be some kind of better, free version of this stuff on the internet instead of paying for it through snail mail" and I eventually found the DiWF as stated above. The first wrestler I ever made in the DiWF once I found it was Scott Steiner and I made the classic mistake of ATTACKING my opponent in my own RP! What an idiot! Boy did I hear about that one after I did it... but I learned from my mistakes just like we all do and the rest is history.
Quote: Ran that for a year on my own, until my dad joined. We worked on it together until he got a shot at the championship. I wrote his match result, as was our policy, and he changed it, disregarding the judges and giving himself the win. I killed the fed.
WHAT?!?!?! Haha, damn! That must have been quite the predicament to find yourself in. Your own dad comes along and gives himself the win. Wowwww... "Don't you change dem results on me son or you're sleeping outside tonight! I'm the champ!" Please tell me it went something like that... lol

Anyhow, I kind of took over the fed by changing the passwords and the contact emails, basically stealing the fed from the guy that was running it. I re-branded everything.
It all went well for about 6 months, we even invaded the former owners new fed, when I figured out he used the same passwords.
LOL wtf... That's very naughty of you, sir! I want you to find that guy and apologize for using the passwords he was too stupid to change. lmao
