The previous owner used to sometimes mention this, so I thought I'd continue it. One of the most common mistakes in writing is the unneeded apostrophe in the possessive form of the word its. You ONLY need the apostrophe if you're abbreviating "it is" - thus becoming it's.
You do NOT need the apostrophe if you are referring to something BELONGING to another object. If you are going to talk about a microwave's power cord missing, you would say... The microwave is missing its cord.
This is something I used to always do wrong many years back and once I learned it, I started noticing how many others make the same mistake. By no means is it a big deal, but rather a nice little tidbit I think some of you will find helpful if you didn't already know.
