It's not the end of the month, but you're going to get ELO anyway! Or... as much as I can do, because some of these don't really fit for it. It's a good test for my system though for me to refine... one day.
Wrestler of the Year
For 10 months (and 15 before that) one person sat atop the rankings list and repeatedly fought off potential threats in Corey Smith, Ned Kaye, and eventually the man who knocked him off.
Statistically speaking, my vote is apparently going to the man allegedly called "Micheal Graves". With the E before the A.
Team of the Year
A problem for my data, as I have not done a teams spreadsheet. I thought about it once, but the eligibility criteria would be very skewed as so few teams reach 5 matches, even ones who become champions. Still, if I had to average scores out, I would think that the long-term tag champs, Ned Kaye and Prince Adeyemi, would get the win.
Match of the Year
Of the nominees, the highest average score was probably Sean Parker v. Mark Flynn v. Sebastian Everett-Bryce (Leap of Faith). I would probably vote for this if I wasn't taking an ELO-approach as well.
Promo of the Year
ELO doesn't score promos. I wanted to vote for Game Girl, because I greatly enjoy the character, but... that rp didn't win the Captain's match. Instead, I'm going to vote for the character who did, but acknowledge the rp that started it all for them. Winning the Free For All Battle Royal set him off hundreds of rating points higher than the others who came in at the same time, so I would like to acknowledge Sebastian Everett-Bryce - "The Price We Pay". ELO will make sure to keep track of all of the RPs of the Month in 2025 as the boards don't keep track of it.
Newcomer of the Year
How could it be anybody else? Debuting ranked at number 2, with a whopping 1951.22 rating, it's Sebastian Everett-Bryce.
Return of the Year
12 names returned to the ELO rankings this year. The highest ranked did not get a nomination, and I understand why given their role in the federation now, as well as the lack of follow-up. Stats are stats though; it's a write-in: Thaddeus Duke - returning at number 4 in the rankings in September. (Madison Dyson deserves this though)
Storyline of the Year
Statistics! No, not voting for myself. I'm voting for the most interesting statistics battle on the ballot. After both were chomping out our ELO leader's heels throughout the year, the winner of this rivalry seemed destined to eventually reach the top themselves - and they then did. We got 6 months out of this: Ned Kaye vs SEB.
Locker Room Leader
There is no data in ELO for this. Excluding staff, the three nominees here are easily the most consistent at helping out with shows. I would love to spotlight Aurora for jumping in here and doing so much work behind the scenes, despite not having the longevity behind their tenure.
PPV of the Year
The month we got a new number one, and always get a big rankings shake-up: War Games: Fallout.
Moment of the Year
As someone who has been rooting for him since I first saw him, any other year I would give it to Ned Kaye. This year? It has to be Theo Pryce retiring.
Lifetime Achievement Award
I like stats and numbers. I can't feasibly vote for someone using them so dishonestly as our dear leader did, so... Charlie Nickles for a record number of faux X-Treme Championship pin attempts on James Shark.
