As stated previously, the progress bars... will be in effect. In the past, they've been used in gauntlets to measure the strength of one who has been competing for awhile versus someone who has just entered.
In this Rumble, they'll be used to measure everyone's stamina.
Say for instance the #1 & #2 entrants obviously start the match. In two minutes, the third entrant enters. During the two minutes that #'s 1 & 2 are battling, they lose stamina. 2 minutes will equal 3%. Say the #1 entrant lasts in the match through the 5th entrant. He loses 9% of his stamina since he's been in through three aditional entrants. Now, for each elimination a person accomplishes, he earns 1% of his health back.
For example: If Peter Gilmour enters at #1 and lasts all the way through until the final entrant has entered, that's 28 additional entrants. His stamina at the moment of the final entrant would be (without having any eliminations)
Say during the rumble, Pete eliminated 5 other competitors. That gives him an additional 5% in stamina bringing him to a total of for the remaining minutes of the match.
This makes it difficult (as it should be), but not impossible, to enter at #1 and win.
For eliminations: It's stamina versus stamina. Say a fresh Mr. Satellite at is trying to eliminate a Peter Gilmour who is at , Gilmour would likely be eliminated. However, if someone with comes up and attacks Mr. Satellite, then his attempted elimination of Gilmour could be stopped in its tracks.
Now, say you reverse that situation. Say Peter Gilmour at is trying to eliminate a fresh Mr. Satellite at . His chances of eliminating Satty are slim. BUT! If someone, for instance, Mr. Radio, who is at comes over to help Gilmour eliminate Satty, it's plausible this elimination would be succesful, because you have a single man at 100% stamina being double teamed by two guys with a TOTAL of 108% stamina. Which, by the way, would give BOTH Gilmour and Radio an additional 1% in stamina for the tandem elimination.
Remember how I said ANYONE could end up winning this match? This is exactly what I meant.
This makes the action that unfolds during the Rumble just as important as the roleplays and the entrant order themselves.
I hope I explained this well.
Now, as far as the entrants, I have 21 unique entrants and I plan to use guys like Corino as fillers to swell the entrants to 30 total. Since there's only one winner, and no real losers, I may add others that didn't roleplay for this event just to advance storylines.
For those that read this and think their RPs don't matter, think again. That is factored into the stamina vs stamina thing. If someone at that had only a decent week of RPing is being eliminated by a guy at and he had a stellar week of RPing, that elimination is likely to be successful. On the flip side of that, without help from someone else during the match, the 90% may not eliminate the 70%.
If ANYONE has any questions you can reply to this thread.
As far as entrant order, I'm literally pulling names out of my Steeler hat.
