So... I doubt anyone really remembers me but I thought I'd say hello again.

My name is Oliver. A little less than two years ago I joined XWF and started RP'ing and getting to know everyone. I had a lot of fun. Most of you people are absolutely fucking crazy, but you're my kind of crazy. I feel like I was making a nice little home for myself here. I had some good matches, I was really digging into my character and liking him, I even signed up to be a match writer. It was good times.

Then my father died. To this day I cannot possibly put into words how much that man meant to me. Saying he was my hero doesn't even come close to describing how much I loved him. To this day it's hard to talk about him without crying. But life goes on, and as cliche as it sounds, time heals all wounds. Or at least makes them manageable.

When my father died, I felt like everything good in my life died with him, including my desire to write and the joy I experienced when roleplaying against an opponent, win or lose. So I abruptly walked away.

To this day I have no idea how my abrupt departure was handled. I didn't care, so I left it up to the powers-that-be. After deciding to return, I decided to just scrap the entire character and essentially "reboot" Jonathan Willis, creating an entirely new character with an entirely new background and story and etc. etc.

I kept the name because... well, I've been using that name as an e-fed character for a long time. If it's no longer viable for me to use that name anymore, I can always switch names. Also, if anyone thinks I rebooted the character just to get my record clean, I'm fine with carrying over any wins/losses I had, especially the losses I probably accrued after leaving so abruptly.

That's pretty much it on my end. I look forward to getting to know everyone again and finding a home here again. If anyone would like to read my "reboot" and "re-debut" RP, it's posted here. I'd love to get some feedback if anybody has any.
