Well, hello, again! It’s me, Alan Alda!

The guy, the bearded guy… Flynn, I think is his name? He woke me in the middle of the night.

I was like, you need another one? So soon? But, apparently, last week, some dummy complained he didn’t recap his story every time. But, hey, that means the checks keep coming for your pal, Alan Alda!

Anywho, we can keep this quick-ish, assuming you read the summary for the last story...

Last adventure, Flynn followed Dolly’s lead about You Are Not Contractually Obligated to Shove-It! Through some web research and contacting the other resource the feds have planted inside the XWF (Steve Sayors’ implanted second personality ‘The Ringworm’), Flynn discovered that back in April, the show doesn’t have an ending… And according to the Ringworm, some of the matches have yet to happen…

Before he could delve too deeply into that mystery, Flynn discovered his wrestling student NK cheating on his exercise regimen.

Flynn confronts NK, of course, and they get into a back-and-forth about the nature of the Optimal Path, Flynn’s belief system and fighting style that he claims will attain victory almost 100% of the time.

NK kinda calls bullshit, since he got the pin in their tag match against Dolly & LSM, he got the big clue that kept the investigation rolling and he’s winning all his matches anyway. Why does he need the Optimal Path?

Flynn presents NK with a conundrum. NK, thus far, has been faced with difficult, but passable challenges. What if he were presented with a challenge that was impossible to pass?

When NK is stumped, Flynn takes him to a computer lab and presents him with what he calls “The Kenta Kobayashi Maru”, a fighting simulator Flynn perfected during his seven-year absence from the XWF.

NK was outfitted with the tech, which apparently simulates the actual pain of combat with 1:1 accuracy, but demanded before they started to hear the game’s rules.

Flynn gave him all three.

1. Beat the Game.
2. You Can’t Leave The Game Without Beating the Game.
3. You Can’t Beat the Game
