Darkness...

”Hello?”

It surrounds her…

”Hellooo!?!”

Blinding her to her surroundings…

”HELLO!?!”

”Hey hey, calm down, you’re alright.”

Light slowly pushes back the darkness.

”Bob, this that you?”

Giving way to sight…

”Who’s Bob?”

James Raven takes VV’s hands and gently holds them in his own as he stares lovingly into her eyes.

”Are you okay?”

For a moment she believes what she’s seeing. She wants to believe. After all, this is every girls dream.

”Vita?”

But she knows better.

”What have you done?”

She pulls her hands away from his.

”WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME BOB!?!”

Raven seems genuinely confused. He tries to take her hands again, but she pulls away from him.

”No, stay back!”

”VV, you need to calm down.”

”Take me home!”

”But honey, we are home…”

VV stops to look around. Realizing that they’re in the living room of a nice home. Photos decorate the walls. Pictures of James, of VV, and three children, all boys. VV’s brow raises in horror. She doesn’t know what to think of all of this. The last thing she remembers is wishing to be beautiful forever. A wish that she was coerced into by Bob.

”What have you done Bob… Where are we?”

”Why do you keep calling me Bob?”

Back at VV’s hotel room just moments after the wish. We find Bob the genie inhaling the last remains of a smokey substance that can only be assumed to be VV’s soul. The facade of James Raven, the face that he wore when he sweet talked VV into a trance fades away and is replaced with that of a demon.

It’s at this very moment that Jessica opens the door. She was supposed to head back to New York, but on the way back, she changed her mind and decided to spend more time with VV. Hanging out with VV was fun, maybe the most fun that she has ever had. She hates to admit it, but the life of a wrestler is pretty cool. Unfortunately, she’s about to find out that it’s not all parties and cute boys.

”MY GOD…”

Jessica exclaimed as she opened the door and saw the demonic Jinn standing in the room, his back to her. Bob turns his head to the side, just enough to catch a glimpse of Jessica. With complete and utter terror in her eyes, Jessica manages to mutter one name…

”VV?”

Bob turns to face Jessica. His demonic Jinn form slowly fades into that of her friend VV.

”Um… I guess I have some explaining to do huh?”

Jessica looks on in complete disbelief. She is unsure what is actually going on. She of course had no idea about the genie, and from her perspective, her friend just morphed from a demon right before her eyes.

”What’s going on Ashley?”

You know shit is serious when legal names are dropped over stage names.

”I can explain everything Jessica. Do you remember the genie lamp that I found?”

”That stupid hunk of tin, yeah I remember it.”

”Jess, it had a genie in it!”

She doesn’t believe that, or doesn’t want to I should say, but at this moment in time, what else is there? So she goes along with it while trying to figure out what’s actually happening.

”What did you wish for?”

With a coy smile the Jinn responds.

”I wished for the genies powers. Now I can make all of our dreams come true! Go ahead Jess, try it! Ask me for anything!”

”I don’t know… This doesn’t seem safe.”

The Jinn walks closer. Jessica contemplates running, but thinks better of it for now.

”Go on now, make a wish. Whatever it is, I swear to grant it.”

Jessica takes a step away from the Jinn, still trying to sort out what is actually going on here. She really doesn’t know, but one thing she is sure of is that whatever this is standing before her pretending to be VV… It isn’t her friend.

”Any wish?”

”Anything that your heart desires, I can make it so.”

Jessica thinks for a moment. Then, a thin smirk forms at the corner of her mouth.

”I wish that my best friend was standing beside of me!”

”Very well”

A low rumbling in the distance, followed by dark clouds, lightning, and a booming thunder. There’s a bright flash of light that blinds her for just a few seconds. As her vision returns, she realizes that VV is laying on the floor next to her. She double takes between the girl on the floor and the one standing in front of her. The Jinn then changes forms, this time back to Shaq from Kazaam!

”Clever girl…”

”Who are you really?” she ask with feat in her eyes.

”I am the genie of the lamp young one, and I am now in your service. One wish granted, two left to go. Do you have a second wish for me?”

Jessica stands there frozen in horror. As her mind races to make sense of all this, VV struggles to sit upright. Jessica looks down to her and then back to the Jinn.

”What did you do to her?”

The Jinn hesitates to answer, but VV breaks the silence in a weak and broken voice.

”He tried to trap me in… some dream world… Don’t trust him Jess!”

It’s now that the Jinn decides to come clean.

”I granted her every wish and nothing more.”

”I’m sure she didn’t wish to be trapped by you!”

The Jinn smiles a warm smile in an effort to ease the tension.

”She wished to remain beautiful forever. I granted that wish by absorbing her soul. Inside of me, she would have lived for all eternity. She would have experienced complete happiness. Everything that her heart desired would have been hers, and just as she wished, she would have never aged a day.

”That’s not what I wished for, and you coaxed me into making that wish anyway!”

[blue]”It matters not, for I am no longer your servant. Jessica, you are my master now… Make your wish…”

VV looks up to Jessica in horror. She seems to be in a trance, just like VV was when she made her first wish.

”I wish…”

VV’s eyes frantically search the room.

”Go on…”

The Jinn begins rubbing his hands together in anticipation.

VV’s eyes catch a pair of scissors laying on the floor.

]”I wish that I had everything that I ever…”

VV springs to action, grabbing the scissors and lunging for the Jinn as quick as lightning. She stabs the scissors deep into his chest, piercing his heart. Jessica snaps out of the trance as the life leaves the Jinns eyes. The Jinn falls to the ground, and takes VV with it as she doesn’t have the strength to stand on her own after that attack.

”Oh my God! VV are you okay!?!”

Jessica rushes to VV’s aid and pulls her off of the Jinn. VV looks up to Jessica and can’t help but giggle.

”What in the world could you possibly find funny about this?”

”I just defeated another supernatural being… I’m on a roll!”

The fact that even in such a traumatic situation as this one, VV finds a way to focus on something positive really amazes Jessica. The more she thinks about it, the more she realizes why she loves this girl so much, why they’ve always been the best of friends, and why VV is better prepared for this world than most. The thought of it all leaves Jessica doing the same thing she questioned VV for.

The scene fades with the two girls laughing together as Jessica embraces VV in her arms.

”Well Lux, you big, scary, mysterious, elusive, unmotivated, lazy guy you, what’s up? Seriously, I’m curious what’s going on with you. A few days ago, you were all, “I’m getting my body ready, you don’t know what you’re getting into”, but ever since I dropped my first promo you’ve been all…”

“CHIRP CHIRP...”

“CHIRP CHIRP...”

“So I’m left to wonder what the deal is here. Did you watch my promo and realize that maybe whatever mysterious supernatural powers you alluded to probably weren’t going to serve you well in a wrestling match like I suggested, or are you just waiting until the last minute before you open your mouth to lessen the chances of you sticking your foot back in their? Either way, it doesn’t make much of a difference. I’m still going to kick your butt and prove yet again why I'm Xtreme Champion!”

“So um… Since I’ve already said everything I had to say, and you seem to be at a loss for a rebuttal, maybe I’ll use the extra time that you’ve granted me to to go catch that new Dragon Ball Super movie. It’ll be a nice change of pace to see some supernaturally powered people actually accomplish something for a change!”

“ZING, and BUH-BYE!”
