So, I feel none of this bears on the actual judgment of my RPs, but I was struck when another member told me I was using Back to the Future as a reference point. As such, here is a behind the scenes look at any really obscure references I may have made.

RP 1:

The Battle of Carthage: I don't know the historical specifics of this besides it was a battle between Romans and Carthaginians, but I do know it was the first fight scene Russell Crow had in the Colosseum in Gladiator.

The Dick of Peter Gilmour is NOT in the Black Hand.

RP 2:

I wrote this while in the early stages of a food coma after the Super Bowl. If you've never watched NFL football, without getting into the specifics of the sport, there is prayer involved in it at times. After games, sometimes you'll see the shot of opposing players kneeling together, possibly because they couldn't go to services since they play on Sundays.

Bewitched was an old TV show I used to watch on Nick-at-Night when I was a kid and a movie that was made in the 2000s that I never saw. The premise is a comedy featuring a witch who can do magic by wiggling her nose and her day to day life with her husband, who doesn't do magic but knows about his wife's talents.

Dasani is a bottled water from the Coca-Cola brand.

Jesus is voiced by Dave Foley from the Kids in the Hall, who is also Yes Man from Fallout: New Vegas.
