It would have been easy to go out on social media and breath excuses masquerading as conspiracies into the world following the loss at last Anarchy. She could have accepted absolutely none of the blame despite being the one pinned. She could have pointed the finger at Marisol, called her a glorified infomercial hostess who had reached her ceiling. She could have said her partner was a one trick pony without an ounce of adaptability or situational awareness in her one script mind, but that would have been easy.

Atara was well aware of why they hadn't meshed and it didn't take much introspection to figure it out. It was no more than a single glance into her bathroom mirror, a moments pause as she wound a heap of brown into a bun stop her head and listened to the caucus sound of her daughter playing in the background. Her and Marisol hadn't meshed simply because..

....Atara didn't want to.

She lived up to her idol, La Diva, Maria Callas in that regard in every way. She exemplified the moniker, Aphrodite Incarnate with all egocentric pomposity and impetuosity. It was her stage. No others.

Perhaps motherhood had tempered her and perhaps not just privately but professionally as well. Perhaps, she has been timid in the Bashmaster Classic, but no more. Atara had been restored to her rightful place on the marquee.

It was time to let her roots and maiden name unfurl once again but first she had to prepare for next opponent and what better way to prepare for a toddler than to play with a toddler. Have finished her little internal evaluation and primping, Atara turned her focus to her tiny sequel. Ismini, her three old, had been tossing a tumbling a mound of action figures around in their bedroom floor for some minutes now.

Having moved from her bathroom to bedroom floor and Sat with her daughter who promptly handed her mother her own figure. Atara was given an excitable explanation of the game in both intelligible and unintelligible Greek before taking her marker on the stage of her daughter's world of imagination.

One boy figure laid amidst a group of others that had been the source commotion but as mother and daughter began to play the world around them seemed to change and what was a floor full of plastic carnage turned into a desolate field of toys made flesh. Figures became men violently tearing into that boy and as the scene the unfolded they would soon depart leaving him laying in his own blood grasping for life. A blonde hair girl clacked to his side dramatically and promptly cried out to a figure watching from a distance.

"Save him Afrodite! Save him like you saved Adominis!"

"It's pronounced Adonis, and she did not save him, Dove."

"Elaaa mater, you're breaking the walls...play right!"

"Fine, fine, let me get into character...ahem."

Aegean blue orbs found the crouched lovers from and looked first into the distance, as if starting into alternate universe where eyes would be watching back before moving back to rest on the blonde crouching next to her Adominis.

"Save him? Why?

"Because I love him and he loves me!"

"Ah...for love. Tis why you called for me, but I am not sure he does love you. You save him...by his own proclamation dead Islamini is motivation enough for him to continue. Breathe life into him dead Daddy's Princess. Kiss his lips and save him.

Lips touched but the boy did not budge and the blonde looked to her Goddess in despair.

"Aaaah, she is not enough. But of course she isn't, one woman typically isn't with men of his sort. Men who lack any conviction or loyalty. You're a crutch, Dove. He loves you no more than he loved the father and family he left."

"He does love me, mater! I mean Afrodite. He saved me from the King Star Crunch and his Soundboard Henchmen!"

"Because you are property in his eyes, not a partner. Not an equal. Not a lover. How quick was your Adominis to throw in his lot with Star Crunch and put you in that situation right after he betrayed his own father?"

"His father wouldn't let him be his own person!"

"And Star Crunch did? Have you forgotten how quick he spat in the face of Princess Blonde Sunglasses? He left from being one Kings fool to another's! He can't be his own man because he has no idea what kind of man he wants to be. He cried against conformity in one instance then molded and attached himself to an other because he lacks conviction and aan who doesn't believe in anything falls for everything and here he lays does he not? Is he not fallen here?"

There was a moments pause from the girl and suddenly the imaginative world turned back to the Atara's house.

"I gotta pee mater, we'll play something else when I get back.
