New York, Vita’a gym / home.

Her heart pounded through her ears and thudded out of her chest. Her hands trembled ever so slightly. She was angry, confused, but most of all, she was scared. A couple of days ago, she was making a successful return to television after having taken the previous few weeks off to heal some nagging injuries. It was already a mixed bag of a return, to begin with. She had made her return on the previous episode of Anarchy during the main event. On one hand, it was a great opportunity for her to jump back into the spotlight, and she’d be helping her friend Ruby out in the process. It seemed like the perfect move, but alas, Vita hadn’t counted on Ruby not appreciating her involvement. Now that opportunity had caused a rift in her relationship with Ruby.

She had to fix it! Her intent wasn’t to anger her friend! In an effort to patch the wound that she caused. Vita did something that nobody would have expected, and something that many still refused to believe is sincere, she showed humility in admitting that maybe it was time for her to grow up.

But then Micheal Graves happened.

A figure from her past, though only briefly. Two years ago they teamed in a match. Micheal’s career was on the line. Leveraged for a shot at tag gold. Vita had been chosen as his partner. If he didn’t accept her, there would be no match. Micheal agreed and the two went into battle as a team. Alas, the championships did not change hands that day, and Micheal was forced out of the XWF and into early retirement.

She had always suspected that he blamed her for the loss. He denied it of course, but she could tell. It was something about the look in his eyes. The way he looked through her while assuring her that he placed no blame upon her shoulders. This man was psychotic. He had a history of savagely attacking everyone around him for any or no reason at all. Now this man was back, and for reasons unknown to her, he was trying to frame it as if the two of them were scheming against Mr. Warstein.

But why!!?

What did he have to gain from this?

It didn’t take her long to realize that what Micheal wanted to take from her was more than physical. Micheal wanted his revenge to wound her deeper, the heart.

The scariest part was, it was working!

She gasped as she read it. Surely he knew that she would never align against him! He had to!

Tears crept into the corners of her eyes. Her breath stuttered.

”No, he’s just messing with me..”

Her voice was broken. Almost a whimper.

He wasn’t hearing it. His mind had been made. Vita couldn’t be trusted. She was aligned with Graves.

If Fuzz thought it, then that meant that Noah would likely agree. The woman masquerading as Vita in Micheal Graves promos made for a convincing Vita, even she realized that. It wasn’t just the body type either. She spoke like her. She played into Vita’s known fascination with superheroes or villains in this case. There were even emotional connections made towards her with this imposter instructing Graves that he was “not to harm Shawn”.

She realized that it was a brilliantly executed plan, and she had no one to blame, but herself for her current predicament. After all, it was she who had turned “bad guy”, and it was she who spent the last year shredding away at every ounce of trust she ever had.

Is her mind where it should be right now?

No…
