Being St. Patty's Day, I saw a 'How to do an Irish Accent' kind of youtube video... which led me intoa bizarre world of videos explaining how to do an 'American Accent.'
Odd thing about America though - there's about 30 differents IN the US.
The main two people seem to think are 'American' though, are a 'valley girl' SoCal accent or a Kentucky/Georgia accent from the south... or bad attempts at a 'flat' Midwestern accent.
However, it'd be funny watching some British person or something try to do a 'Boston' accent.
