It's that time again. Superstar of the Month. Who do you think and why?

I'm going with Mandii. She's been a rp'ng machine, consistent with a good read, and a tough opponent.

Honorable Mentions who are good candidates: Mr. Radio, Lucena, and though he wasn't 'active' in matches much.. Sid Feder. His show up at the ppv and on the boards during that time was pretty entertaining.

Lucena because he had a heck of a month with his RPs and won the US title in that WWX match and then an honorable mention toward my boy Radio who also had a very solid RP month and I thought he had that belt won in that aforementioned match. The two brought it hard this month.

Mandii.

Consistently good not just in March but since she has been here. She did a marvelous job at the PPV and she's got big ol boobies. Who doesn't love that?

Something to think about: Star of the Month should be awarded to someone that has put up the best work over the entire month, not necessarily one or two good showings. Star of the MONTH. Not Star of the WEEK.

Carry on.

I'm going with Duke.

His rps have been amazing, consistantly all month. They've been enjoyable to read.

In second place, Theo.

Theo's rps where enjoyable as well. Theo just finds a way of sucking you in.

Honestly...Duke was good as well as Enigma but if were looking for someone who busted their ass all month It will have to be Swagmire. he had had a match each week and really did some good work...shame no one notices the little people and just starts throwing out those "beast" players. My vote counts as 12 because I was last months star of the month...SWAGMIRE WINS!

VICTORY FOREVER! lol

all kidding aside I have to say Swagmire. He has amazing work and it is a damn shame more people don't notice his effort...thread views don't lie. I feel bad for those who try hard for 8 views when others get 20 in one day. Swagmire does great work and I’m not saying that because he is my friend. I know that everyone here tries their hardest because we have one common goal and that is to get to the top. it is discouraging working hard and not getting thread views on your role-play but people who are more popular get triple what a new person gets...that is sand in the face my friends and that tells a lot of the new folks here that no one really wants to see what they have to offer. Some of the votes I see (a lot of the time) are all followers votes from people on the bandwagon. I believe full heartedly that we need to treat everyone with the same kind of respect we give our friends work…Nobody wants to do this for nothing, everyone wants a pat on the back now and again.

My intention here was not to insult those who were nominated but to hopefully spark people’s interest in the new blood of the XWF. There are a lot of new and very good players here in the XWF.

I voted Swagmire because he has done 6 matches this month…all of which had some amazing work…Duke, I love you like the man I never met…had 2 (I believe I’m right). Duke, you do amazing work and I do enjoy it…same with Enigma but honestly and truthfully I am going to have to go with Swagmire.

Nice post, Morbid.

I'll also go with Swagmire. Very active, and I'm sure he's picked up a couple of notable wins. Or even if he hasn't, he's still putting in a lot of effort. His activity in other IC sections and his collabs with other characters is worth being recognized for as well.

I do feel like I should clear up something wrong that Morbid said though. Thread views don't mean anything around here, they're not a reliable source of information for anything. I'll explain... The amount of views on a thread doesn't mean that is the amount of different people who read your stuff. That counter goes up every time someone (human or sometimes even bots) clicks the link or refreshes it. So I could get over 500 "views" in 2 minutes just by going into my RP and refreshing it 500 times.

If you look at the WWX board, the amount of views is pretty even with only around 3 RPs that went over 200.

So yeah, I wouldn't worry about "views."

Now, how do you get people to actually read your work? Fuck if I know... People can read every word of what I write or they can scroll down to the bottom, click "like" and close it without reading a single word. If they aren't interested in what I've written then that's that. It's up to me to effectively grab people's attention.

Also about thread views... yes as Madison stated there are many ways a view count can go up without those actually being unique views. If somebody goes to see if they got any "likes" on their own RP that would count as a view and if somebody edits an RP that counts as 1 or 2 views depending on how they edit. If somebody has a slow connection and it stalls right as they are opening a post, the "views" might rapidly be increased during the page load of that user.

Alternatively, there are some cases where a view can be missed entirely and not get recorded, meaning you may have had more views than what it says. Also, most types of views are recorded and added on a delayed basis as to save server resources so if you get 20 clicks RIGHT NOW on a post, those clicks may not even show up until 15 mins to an hour later, and some of those clicks might get lost in limbo. I've seen strange things happen with the view counter and I only really keep them visible because they're the default setting and they are pretty harmless. I am not a big fan of view counters but I know a lot of people are. They're nice for giving you SOME idea of if you're getting viewed, but I wouldn't put a lot of stock into the exact number shown.

I'd further the swagmire vote -- the man doesn't know when to shut the fuck up when it comes to an argument, and that reminds me of me. I like that.

The dude will come hard at you and a lot of the times it's with shit that just makes you go WTF?!? He's a lot of fun to go back and forth with and he isn't afraid to directly poke and prod people in his rp's either. While some people will avoid responding to general trash talk or even go as far as to avoid and ignore a direct verbal assault on them specifically, swags is looking for these chances to jump on somebody and kick some shit up.

He's consistent, very creative and from what I can tell has improved quickly here. He also was on the team that won the biggest single match of the month or I guess the whole year, right? Or was that the biggest match in xwf history? At any rate, it also looked like he performed really well in those results which tells me he probably scored really high in staff's eyes.

If you want to give it to a guy who's been proving himself, climbing that ladder fast, and will feed off of winning SOTM to go to even higher heights, it's swag.

I appreciate the support guys, but I've lost most of my matches. Beat Dyson at gambler's dice match,Mizu/Ally in a house show, no idea about the shove it rumble, and survived the ppv. Only two real wins. I think SOTM should go to a winner, thus Mandii.

It's not something that has to be based solely on wins. Otherwise, we might as well just tally up who got the most victories of each month instead of holding votes.

Just saying, in case anyone else thinks that only wins matter for SOTM.

I understand that, but if the choice is either Mandii or me, then I think she earned it more. If she's been winning I think her work has been better.

I think SOTM should be someone who has been working really hard all month and has good reads. I don't think it should ever be based on Wins but more what person stuck out most to you. So, with that being said, my vote goes to Swagmire because I do enjoy reading his work and he has improved, at least to me. My second choice is Radio for not giving up and his work really has gotten somewhat better.

My vote is for Mandii,

Reading her work this month has been a complete pleasure and she's has worked extremely hard win or lose. I found her character and work ethic extremely refreshing. She's got a great attitude and has posted a lot of top work this month.

Shout out to Swaggy who has stuck at it despite his struggle to pick up momentum when it comes to win/loss ratio. Again a breath of fresh air because the activity and reliability is really good.

I think Mandii deserves it but Swags been good too.
