Like/hates/rep isn't a big thing around here. You're free to interpret it however you wish as long as you don't make an OOC issue out of it.
I'll usually Like an RP if I'm judging it, sort of as my way of initialing so that if someone gets sad about losing, they know which GM to send their "hey I should've won dawg" message to.

I always like rps if I am guest judging. I don't think I use the like system for 'in character' on the RP boards. As far as I remember I have never neg-repped an RP. If I put a like and I'm not judging, it's just ooc to say I enjoyed what I read.
With the other sections though, it's all in character.
I guess we all have slightly different perceptions of it, but yeah reputation isn't really worth losing sleep over.
