The cold wind bristled through the air. The clanking of metal and rubber rolling down the street sturred, and cars eventually began to pass by. The sky was dark still, but to one direction, light was seeping out.

Turning to face it, he could see it was slowly exploding from the horizon. The ground beneath him was colder than the air, and he felt a warm pool of blood underneath his arm. Slowly, he moved his arm ever so slightly up to his head, and he felt where the skin had cracked to allow such a large opening of blood. Bringing his hand to his eyes, he could see the blood all over his fingers, quickly dripping down onto his white polo shirt. Turning his head in all different directions, he could see his apartment, and a Lamborghini. He now remembered what was going on.

Earlier, Daniel had been attacked by Mr. Radio in the middle of the street, where he had pinned him to take his UFO Championship. Last Daniel had known, it was about midnight, and now the sun was rising. He'd been laying out in the cold for almost seven hours. He lifted himself up. He was wobbly standing, and had to use the Lambo for support. Bleeding for 7 hours had obviously hindered him, but he needed to make it upstairs.

Still leaning on the car, he checked his pockets. Two keys, one in each. One was for his apartment... and the other had been given to him by Minxs for the Lambo. ...Minxs. She had come with him to the apartment, given him the Lamborghini, and then stormed out when Daniel hadn't shown the same kindness back to her. He remembers finding out that Captain Extreme... or Evan... actually lives in the same building as him. Question was... where had they gone? He rememebers Minxs... and Evan... and... Viscera. Viscera was here too... but why? Wasn't he... he was asking Minxs to be his girlfriend when Mr. Radio jumped him.

Weird night.

Daniel spluttered as he held his wound with his entire palm. Blood still dripped through, however. Daniel turned to face the car, and there was a massive splatter of blood on the bonnet more-or-less right next to him. Wonder who that was.

Now it was time, he thought, that he should try walking... bad idea. He almost immediately fell, if not for the car's roof being there for him to keep him steady. He then walks along the length of the car, still holding the roof. Opening the passenger door, he climbs in. What he was going to do, he didn't know. The walk from the car to the building would be too far for him to attempt to do successfully, and it's not like he could call for help, it was too early in the morning.

In his last hopes, Daniel checks around the car, the seats, the floors, and everything in between. When he opens the glove compartment, however, out drops a mobile phone. Minxs had honestly been too kind to him, and now Daniel was regretting how he had treated her in return. Regardless, right now he was grateful. He'd left his mobile in his apartment, and there was obviously no way he was headed back up there.

He flipped it open, dialed '999', and put it up to his ear. He waited... static. Daniel then realised he was not in England anymore, and instead dialed '911', and put it up to his ear. It started ringing.

Nice one Daniel.

It connects, and a woman speaks down the line.

Hello, 911 Emergency, how can I help?

Daniel had to space his words out to be able to be understood.

Yeah, I, I need the, uh... the uh, Ambulance. The Ambulance guys...

...Is it a serious emergency or will medics suffice?

Daniel threw up his arms. How was he to know!?

Uh, m-medics I suppose... Can you get here as soon as possible?

There is a pause from the other end.

...And where are you today sir?

In Daniel's normal state he would probably go 'Oh, how silly of me to forget, it's:'. But right now, he was to injured to be like that.

Uh... hmm, it's 227 Star Drive.

There is a pause but a clear tapping of keyboards on the other end.

A medical team has been dispatched, expect them to arrive in about... 2 minutes. Will that be all?

Yes... thank you.

The call cut-off, and Daniel returned the phone into the glove compartment and closed it. He swung his legs out of the open door and waited, and waited, and waited...

The team eventually arrived. They worked Daniel over in a way he was familiar with, as he was pretty certain the XWF medical teams were trained the same way. After a few agonising minutes, the medics had placed 14 stitches in Daniel's head, and had given him a packet of painkillers. One to use now and the rest to use 'just in case'. He did as he was told and the team left. As soon as Daniel felt ready, he headed up the stairs.

He was not fully recovered by any stretch of the imagination, he still had to hold his hand on the wall to make his way up. He made it back and went to his apartment. The door hand been kicked in, no less by Mr. Radio. Surprisingly the place wasn't anymore trashed, it was clear that Radio went in and only took the belt... surprising. Daniel closed and locked the door. Somehow, Mr. Radio had not kicked out the latch, which intrigued Daniel. He sat down on the couch and ran through his thoughts.

Obviously, he'd have to try and find a way to prevent his stitches from being used in the match... tonight. He should also only take the painkillers when need be, rather than downing them if he feels ill. If he throws up, so be it. Daniel got up and went into the kitchen. In the cupboard, he grabbed the tape he uses to wrap around his wrist when he's dressing himself in his ring attire. There were two assortments, black and white. He took the white one and sat back down. He started creating a make-shift bandage on the coffee table, so that he could enter the match without the risk of damaging his stitching. He dared not to put it on just yet. He knew he had to give his stitching time to heal, give it air. So he left the bandage lying sticky side up on the coffee table. If it didn't work out, he could always ask the medical team at the arena to sort him out a bandage.

For right now though, he was going to sort himself out some breakfast, play some pinball for a few hours, and then make his way to the arena. It was only down the road, but he still didn't feel right driving the Lamborghini. Especially since he didn't know where Minxs was. In fact, he changed his mental 'to do list'.

He'll have breakfast... and play pinball at the same time. Then he'll spend the day walking around town, looking to see if he can find Minxs, then he'll return back, grab some lunch and put his bandage on, before leaving and walking to the arena. If he did it right then he'd have plenty of time to walk there and then get himself ready. All his kit was kept in the locker room, so no worries about that.

With this decided, Daniel got up, and prepared his breakfast.

OOC NOTE: I decided to place this in the Char Dev section since it's not entirely related to War Games, but more over the XWF Live thread that's been going on the past few days. However, Smoke Man should still be injured in his match, and there should be a high chance he'll be busted open. If not, however, that's cool I guess :3
