Yup I did the "you" trick to get everybody's attention lol sorry but not sorry!

Ok so I'm curious of the following!

Who here is very familiar with WWF's "attitude era" and a big fan of at least one wrestler from that time?

Who here is very familiar with WCW's nWo era and a big fan of at least one wrestler from that time?

Who here is a fan of NJPW (and/or other Japanese promotions) and has at least one wrestler in any of those promotions they'd consider themselves a pretty big fan of, current day?

Who here follows US and/or UK indie wrestling?

Who here actually doesn't follow wrestling?

Just reply and give me the details that apply to you, and you might be a good fit for a little idea I'm thinking about throwing together soon!

Pre-Attitude, I grew up tearing my t-shirts like Hogan and posing like Shawn Michaels. When I started to go into music(which I only did for a year) I had something like a tuba, and would play The Undertaker's theme song with it when I practiced. Then as it began to become the Attitude Era, I remember Bret having a bloodied Austin in the Sharpshooter and Austin going into unconsciousness. I remember when Degeneration X formed. I remember when Shawn and Trips had helmets with faceguards and wipers on them when talking to Sgt. Slaughter. I remember when D-X 'invaded' WCW.

I cried like a fucking bitch when Hogan turned heel. Like, full on crying like I was two months old again. I remember when Sting went from colorful facepaint like Ultimate Warrior, to the Crow Sting we all know now. I remember when the nWo branched off into the Wolfpac. I remember Goldberg's streak. I remember the Bret v Benoit match to honor Owen Hart.

Unfortunately I don't follow NJPW except for knowing the big names.

I do watch Lucha Underground and my favorite is and will always be Johnny Mundo. That man is absolutely great.

I followed the first two and that was it. I'm a huge fan of wrestling as big dumb carny bullshit so Attitude era was my shizz. I haven't watched any wrestling in years.

I catch sporadic Lucha Underground, and it's pretty solid. Don't follow it enough to have a favorite, really. Attitude era was Mankind, or XPac. Never really followed WCW. Can't afford the NJPW streaming, so I don't follow them.

I'm a little young for pre-attitude era, but I did get into it post-becoming a big wrestling fan.

I'd say Jimmy Snuka was a big one for me pre-attitude era.

Attitude Era Chris Jericho and The Rock make me gush every time.

Massive Bischoff fan from WCW, Scott Steiner too.

NJPW - Tama Tonga, Naito, OG Bullet Club and of course Omega's work

British Indy - I only really watch WCPW, and I love Barrett, Marty back when he was still there.

US Indy - This I'm less in touch with, and only really follow TYB when they do their tours.

They do. But I don't subscribe to anything WCPW after they fucked over the Adams, Jack the Jobber and King Ross.

I rewatch some Attitude Era WWF when I can, and it was pretty good. I love Stone Cold, Taker, Rock, and Jericho from that time period.

WCW I'm less familiar with, though I was still a nice fan of Booker T, Scott Steiner and DDP.

I'm a huge fan of NJPW, and if it wasn't for the wonky timezone translation I'd probably watch their stuff live. I love all of NJPW's current Big 4 (Naito, Omega, Okada and Tanahashi), and outside of them I also love Hiromu Takahashi, Juice Robinson, and Minoru Suzuki.

I occasionally watch British indies like Progress and ICW, though I watch more American indies such as RoH and WrestleCircus.

Wrestling in general sucks these days. It's always "look what kind of cool Shii I can do". There isn't much storytelling during the match. I long for the days of flair verseus steamboat.

Really consider watching some NJPW work. And I think NXT does some decent story telling.

This. Okada/Shibata and the entire Okada/Omega trilogy has some great storytelling among a plethora of others. Even down in NXT you had shit like Aleister Black/Velveteen Dream stealing the show at War Games.

I watched TNA and WWE regularly from 2007-2010, from 2011 to now I only watch WWE/NXT PPVs really. I've seen every episode of 205 Live. When it comes to indy stuff I try to watch PWG's Battle of Los Angeles Tournament every year and until recently I tried to go to two local feds every time they ran a show, but one of them closed down because their ring was stolen by people they weren't paying.

The monday night wars was the peak of my wrestling fandom. I was always flipping between TNT and USA to watch both programs. It's really hard even to this day to say which I liked better. Just great moments of my childhood that I cherish:

Foley winning the WWF title.
Sting coming from the rafters.
Goldberg beating Hogan
Austin stunning Sgt. Slaughter

The list goes on and on
