:: The gym of Pryce Industries could rival the gym or training facility of any professional sports team. Which make sense when you consider that Pryce HQ in downtown Phoenix has well over 500 employees. So a gym that spans two floors of Pryce Towers with roughly 100 different types of machines and an Olympic sized swimming pool might seem to enough to fully satiate even the hungriest workout warrior. But for Theo Pryce, a former College Athlete who turned down a chance to play pro ball when to instead run the empire that is Pryce Industries, 2 floors, an Olympic sized swimming pool and roughly 100 different workout machines just isn’t enough. ::

“Look Tom, when Erica suggested that I go with you guys to help space plan for the new gym I figured it was because you guys know what the hell you are talking about but so far nothing you have said or shown me indicates that you have any sense whatsoever of what we are trying to do here…”

“Look Mr. Pryce…”

“I’m not done Steve. I know that Erica briefed you on exactly what we want to see with the new floor, how many machines, an area for personal trainers, a Yoga studio etc. I know this because I was in the room when she was talking to you and that dimwit you call an assistant. So knowing that I know exactly what you were told and what your response was on that call, how in God’s name can you explain these floor plans?”

“Well Mr.Pryce…”

“You know what Tom, don’t bother. There are other Architects and Space Planners in Phoenix. I’ll make arrangements with them.”

“Erica please, help me out here. We talked…”

“I’m sorry Steve but Theo is right. We talked about this and what you are presenting us is nothing even remotely close to what I asked for. The lady at the check in desk over there will help you find your way out of the building. Have a good afternoon.”

:: Erica points over to the left where a tall brunet with an obvious fake tan is standing at the check in desk making googly eyes with one of Pryce Industries young employees. Tom having realized there is nothing that can be done to reverse the decision lowers his head in resignation and heads towards the check out desk. ::

“I’m sorry Theo, I don’t know what the hell Tom was doing. We went over in a very detailed fashion what we were looking for. This, this crap isn’t that.”

“No need to apologize Erica. Like I said to Tom; I was there. I heard your conversation. I know exactly what you told him. And I can see plain as day that this isn’t it. Forget it. There are plenty of other options out there, we will talk to some of them and see what they can put together for us.”

“Right, I’ll get right on that.”

“Actually I need you for something else. Have Jimmy take care of it.”

“Jimmy?”

“Yeah…what’s wrong with that? He graduated from Princeton you know? He’s not as dumb as I thought he was.”

“Actually it was Columbia and I could have told you he wasn’t an idiot, but are you sure you want to give this to Jimmy?”

“Why not? It will give the kid a chance to get his feet wet. Besides, I just gave him a raise, he might as well earn it.”

“Oh my God…”

“Oh my God what?”

“You actually took what I said to heart. You actually feel bad about how you treat that poor kid and now you are trying to rectify it.”

“Hold your horses Erica. I gave the kid a raise because he does a bang up job with “The Big Red Binder” and because a couple thousand bucks is like pocket change to me. If it will keep the kid from drinking away his depression or worse then it’s a good investment. Besides, I have no desire to break in a new gopher.”

“Whatever you say.”

“Precisely; now, onto more pressing matters, the XWF’s Greatest Sin, what can you tell me about her?”

:: Theo and Erica make their way through the gym and towards an Elevator Door. Theo presses his thumb to a plate located to the right of the elevator door. A second later the doors open up and both Theo and Erica step inside. Theo presses the button marked up as the door closes. ::

“Well, she’s from St. Louis, came to the XWF about two years ago and for the last while was a part of Eli James group The Congretation.”

“Eli James, is he the one that looks like that jerk off from Duck Dynasty?”

“Which jerk off would you be referring to? There’s a couple of guys on that show.”

“The fat one that always wears that ridiculous looking white sports coat anytime he has an important meeting.”

“You mean Willie? The guy who runs Duck Commander. Yeah I guess he does sort of look like him.”

“Sort of? If I didn’t know any better I’d say the two of them were birthed from the same wretched womb. But nevermind that. Eli James while perhaps not the greatest wrestler in the history of the world, he does seem to have a knack for being able to peddle his bullshit to anyone who is weak willed enough to buy into it and I guess for a time Sin fell into that.”

“Which I find to be surprising actually.”

“Why is that?”

“Well from everything I have come up with she is actually a pretty tough individual, albeit a bit sadistic and crazy. “

“Aren’t we all to a degree?”

:: The elevator comes to a smooth stop and the door opens to reveal the interior of Theo’s office. ::

“We all may be a little crazy from time to time but this chick actually murdered someone. She stabbed a guy through the heart, all for Eli James. Well, she says she did it for herself but I have a feeling that Eli had something to do with it. Either way, she put a knife through a guy’s heart in cold blood.”

“Come on Erica, you know what we do here. I am hardly a saint. I may not be the guy who pulls the trigger or pushes the button to drop the bomb but my hands are hardly clean.”

“And I get that but I think there is a big difference between what we do and what she did.”

“You would be surprised what someone is willing to do when they are brainwashed by a redneck who is preaching his own twisted version of God’s Truth. Besides she got the boot from that rag tag group of inbreeds.”

“Got the boot would be the key phrase there. She didn’t leave of her own accord, she was kicked out, literally. They beat the crap out of her. It wasn’t pretty. And I wonder if they may decide to insert themselves into your debut match on Wednesday. Madison really did you no favors putting you in a match with someone who just got kicked out of their crew and another woman with barely any more experience than you.”

“ I’ve never known a three way to be a bad thing. Especially when your team is made up of a smoking hot women who may or may not be on a revenge kick and thus has some pent up anger and anther smoke show named Olive. In fact, I think this is the perfect start for me.”

“Of course you would. I just figured the whole goal of this match was to win. Sin certainly seemed to think so when she was here the other day.”

“How the hell do you know what she said? You were only in my office for like 30 seconds max. IS my office bugged?”

“You’re so paranoid sometimes.”

“Yeah well it’s a trait that all men of greatness seem to have. But seriously though, you know what, I don’t care. Here’s the deal. I have a match against three members of The Family. Two of the members of the trios team are dating, maybe that helps us, maybe it doesn’t. We will find out on Wednesday. As for Sin getting kicked out of The Congregation, it’s the best thing for her. If she hasn’t realized that yet she soon will. Besides, we all get knocked down from time to time. I’m interested in how what she does with herself now. From what I can tell she’s on the right track. Now as to whether The Congregation will find the need to involve themselves in our match so as to further pursue their agenda against Sin, then so be it. I’ll deal with it if and when the time comes, but I don’t anticipate it being an issue.”

“Well that’s good of you but in case you haven’t noticed, you are the newbie there and as far as I can tell, you aren’t a member of any group that is going to come to you and your team mates aid if say the Congregation, or The Family or anyone else decides to rain on your debut parade.”

“You of all people should know by now Erica that money can buy a lot of things. When in doubt trust the money. It hasn’t let me down yet.”

“Money doesn’t last forever Theo.”

“Tell that to the Rockerfeller’s and the Morgan’s.”
