Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood.
George S. Patton

Sprawling green hills cover the landscape as the scene opens over looking a huge field. The treeline on each side are hard to make out because of the thick fog still blanketing the area. The moisture can be seen accumulating on the bottom of the camera lens. Every few minutes, a rag is used to wipe it away.
The sun is attempting to break through the dense fog, but with very little luck. This type of morning is not uncommon for Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It's 2013, but back on the morning of July 1, 1863, the field looked much like it does today. Total serenity.

Then all war broke out. The North and the South beat the holy hell out of each other. Musket balls and cannon balls flew through the air. Smoke replaced the fog of that morning. It's said that blood covered the field, and flowed like a river.

This coming Wednesday, September 25, on Warfare, the scene will be eerily similar. Peter Gilmore goes up against the Xtreme Champion, Rebel. The belt is on the line and Warfare will go Xtreme.

The camera pans a bit until we see Rebel leaning against a tree, reading a book. As cliche as it sounds, the book is the Art Of War by Sun Tzu. Rebel flips through the book for a few minutes, every now and then looking into the long ago battlefield. He's changed in the last week or so.
Since Shove It: Into Space, when Nazi stabbed him, Rebel transformed. No, a demon didn't take hold of him. He didn't come from the future. Rebel didn't heal instantaneously. H just simply changed.

Wearing a pair of blue jeans, and a long over coat, Rebel closes the book and stares into the field once more. His eyes glazed over, but not from being high, but from being in deep thought.

Sun Tzu says in his book, Th Art of War, begin by seizing something which your opponent holds dear; then he will be amenable to your will.

Rebel opens his long coat and unsnaps the Xtreme title. He holds it up to his face. The heat from his breathe can be seen hitting the belt.

I've got something you want Pete. Now, I could make jokes about having a Chicken Parmesan dinner, but this isn't the time for that. Peter, I have the Xtreme Championship. This is something you want dearly. You mouth off about being a multiple time Xtreme champion. That's all well and fine man. But, did you ever get a 24/7 briefcase? I don't know the answer to that because I wasn't around.

What intrigues me though, is that you have held this title so many times, yet you lost this belt just as many times. Where are the fruits of your labor, Pete? The entire idea behind this belt is to get that 24/7 briefcase and get a shot at the Crown. I know you have had multiple failed attempts at the King's Crown, but those came from other happenings.

Rebel takes in a deep breath. He holds it for a minute and exhales. He cracks his neck and rubs the top of his head. He's so use to having hair there, that it's weird feeling all of the heat being released. Rebel steps in front of the camera. with his back to it. The morning sunlight hits Rebel and makes it look like he is giving off a glow. Rebel slightly turns his head towards the camera.

This championship that you hold so dear, this championship that I hold right now, is one of the most powerful tools in the entirety of XWF. Hold it for 6 weeks and you get a 24/7 briefcase. 6 long weeks.....that's a hell of a time. Only the best can reap it's glory. You, Pete, proved on multiple occasions that you weren't up for the challenge. Just like you weren't up for the challenge of beating John Madison for the Crown.

Petey, could you imagine where you could be right now if you had beaten John Madison for the Crown? No you cant, because it's just a wet dream for you Pete.
Just like you beating me for MY Xtreme Championship. It's a dream you go to to escape your horrible life.

Don't get me wrong, Pete, I have been waiting on this match for a while. When Heyman signed me, I watched as you fought hard, but would lose. But you would get back up again. I admire that about you. After I won this title, I knew you would start spouting off about beating me for it.
That is what makes you Peter Gilmore. You are the guy that is going to kick everyone's ass. Each week, you tell the whole world that. It could be Madison, Duke, Callaway, Luca.....you let it be known that you will destroy everyone and anyone.
You have yet to do it though man. Every week, it's "next time this" or "if they hadn't cheated" or "I'll eat your babies". When are you going to stop with the false promises and actually do what you say you are going to do?
Slowly Pete, you are losing all self respect. All of your loses piling up. Being dumped by the Brotherhood and your Trio teammates dropping you like a bad habit. Sounds like you are living a bad country song, Pete.

But what does Peter Fucking Gilmore do? What can change everything for him? How can he turn a new leaf? Why.... joining the Extreme Revolution would help Pete..........er.....NO! Come on Pete. One group of losers isn't going to help a habitual loser. That equation doesn't equal success.

I am curious though Petey. Who is the leader of ER? Is it you? Are you going to lead ER into a new dawn? Help them win some matches, are you Pete?
Or are you following LJ Havok? The man who would take on too much. I mean the guy remind me of the Dallas Cowboys. All kinds of talent, talks a big game, and you have such high hopes for him. Like his career in XWF, they start strong, but can never finish. Like the Cowboys, LJ is just kind of sputtering around, hoping to snag some hint of attention.
And this is his way. Get Peter to join ER and people will want to see what happens. But the results will be the same Pete.
Just like in all of your Crown matches and just like this coming Wednesday, you will lose. Accept it. I'm not walking away without my title. I have big plans for myself. I'm not going to be stuck with the rest of the pack, in cruise control, hoping someone will give me a handout. I'm taking XWF by the horns and wrestling that bitch to the ground.

Rebel starts walking away from the camera, into the fog. He slowly fades from view, but his voice can still be heard.

I have no doubt that you are going to bring your A game Pete. In fact, I'm counting on it. You have been around XWF for a long time. You have some pull behind that name of your, although it is disappearing. I'm going to take advantage of that and show XWF why I am the guy that everyone should worry about.
I think this match will be epic. It should be a master piece. I know for a fact thought, Pete, that I'm going to hurt you. I need to make everyone aware of who I am. The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence. -Confusius

The scene fades as the fog rolls on.
