“Hello world. It’s your new Anarchy tag team champion speaking. Interesting turn of events we are having. On the eve of the announcement of the War Games card, I find myself standing alone across the ring from Oswald. Oz is someone who declared for War Games and now finds himself on a team with his friend Thunder Knuckles, Sarah Wolf and that psycho son of Crimson Kline. I remember Caedmon. He was running Anarchy when I last stepped into a ring here. I was on a different show, but his presence was felt. I actually hadn’t planned to wrestle yet. If it wasn’t for TK, I would have been content to stand by and do what I do best, directing XXXVI.”

“So, I find myself undefeated and a champion because I did what you couldn’t, Oz. Twice, actually. Ironic that when you had an opportunity to face Them No Good Bastards along with my weapon, XXXVI, you chose the coward’s path. You won through no effort on your own, but you did not achieve anything. You showed loyalty. But then, when you had another opportunity, you and Thias could not even beat Thunder Knuckles with a makeshift, non-wrestler partner. Are you not embarrassed? Are you not the least bit ashamed of yourself? You teach others how to wrestle and yet you seem to still know very little about how to succeed in it.”

“You big, dumb idiot. Do you even care about winning? Are you only motivated to win when someone else is pulling the strings? Interesting. There are parallels between you and XXXVI, but he didn’t need me to be motivated. He beat you on his own and now, apparently you haven’t learned your lesson. So I get to be the one to put on a show for the live studio audience. It’s true, I am the Director. I direct business and I am doing important work, but I’ll lean into the niche, the movie director aesthetic. I like pain. Doesn’t matter which end I’m on. I’ve been sick like this since I was a wee lad. Oh, the things we can do with barbed wire! Do you need some extra motivation going into War Games? Shall I carve my name into you, so you won’t forget who owns you? I was too late to the party to opt in for War Games, but should management see fit to have us defend our tag titles there, well I’d be happy to inflict more pain on whichever hapless losers they send our way.”

“Until then, Oz, you’re my bitch. You’ve been here for years and you have very little to show for it. I’ve been here for half a cup of coffee and not only did I main event, but I won gold in my very first match. XXXVI and I hold the majority of the titles on Anarchy and its champion, Mrs. Raven, is going to lose on the midcard to the ancient memory Centurion once again. Oz, wake me up when you give a shit.”

“Square, report in on our progress.” The Director says, motioning toward a large, muscled man bearing a square on his mask. “Where are we at with Project Phoenix?”

Square clears his throat. “Yes, sir. Subject six is showing early signs of the virus taking. Ready for phase two.”

The Director turns to another of his agents, Triangle, a taller, more slender man. “And what of Project Dalek?”

“Still in pre-alpha status, sir. We hit a few, unfortunate snags, but we’re still on schedule for the most part,” says Triangle.

“Okay then. I suppose that is to be expected. Please have a full report on my desk by the end of the week. Now, I assume X is keeping Agent 36 occupied with training, correct?”

Another agent answers in a gruff voice, his frame is shorter and stockier. “Yes, sir. He is unaware of your grander plans.”

This one bears both the name and symbol of O. “Sir, your Anarchy tag title belt. We have finished the custom side plates and they will be ready for placement in time for Anarchy. Do you require any training prior to your match?”

The Director waves it off. “No need, O. You’ve ensured I have enough time in my schedule for an extra long workout tomorrow, yes?”

O answers, “Absolutely, sir. All clear. We wanted to say congratulations and good luck.”

The Director chuckles. “I don’t need luck. Ring rust hates to see me coming. It cowers at the sight of me. I am perfection personified. Oswald is the one needing to rely on luck.”

He pauses. “Square. Ready my ring gear and ensure you lot are ready to make sure my entrance goes off without a hitch. Let’s do this, boys.”
