” I am so sick of this shit!” Chris Page storms through the gorilla position on Saturday Night Savage as it has just left the air with another message from an unknown assailant. Chris comes up on a table that has Karen Hunt on a headset as well as several agents. Page smashes his hands down on the table startling all that are seated. He points at Karen as he spouts out.


” Who the fuck cleared that for air?! You are trying to set me up!” Karen stands from her chair removing her headset but before she can even respond Page is gone as he walks down the hallway now closely followed by Thunder Knuckles and Bobby Bourbon.


” Yo Page! Stop! Do not do anything stupid.” Thunder Knuckles is heard as a seething Universal Champion enters a large loading area where the XWF Production trucks parked side by side. Thunder Knuckles rushes past Chris cutting him off before he can reach the production trucks.


” These mother fuckers think this is a game! They think I am playing?!?!” Chris is livid as he Thunder Knuckles tries to talk him down.


” Listen it is just someone trying to mess with you because it will get to you. Going ape shit on General Managers of production staff is not going to get you anywhere but suspended.” Chris starts to pace back and forth in front of one of the production trucks as he attempts to calm down.


” I am not a fan of someone using a serious situation like Robert’s attack to rattle me. Robert is fighting for his life and someone out there knows something! For all, I know whoever is sending the cryptic messages IS the person who perpetrated it.” Thunder Knuckles breaks in on Chris Page.


” The last thing you need to be worrying about are messages when you have a title defense on deck in just a few short days. Is it just a little funny that the moment you were about to give it some attention out there the lights went down and that segment played?” Thunder Knuckles starts to get through to Chris as he starts to calm down.


”Ol’ Thunder Knuckles thinks that the person behind these videos might be the very person that you are set to defend against. It would make a lot of sense because everyone already knows that Big D does not pose you any real threat if your head is on straight. You would chew him up and spit him out. He is the mother fucker behind this! Direct your anger and hostility towards that turd!”


” You know something…” Chris finally composes himself.


” You are right.” Bobby Bourbon hands Chris his Universal Title.


” Somebody is trying to take me off my game, but it certainly is not Big D… he is not smart enough. Somebody wants me to lose focus because how funny would it be to see me climb the ladder of this federation rung by rung only to lose to someone that up until the last few weeks has not even bothered to cut promos!” Chris stops pacing as he takes a deep breath.


” I am not going to fall for it.”


” Robert would never forgive you if you lost to a mother fucker like Big D…”


” Hell he would laugh the loudest…. Sorry, I lost my cool, guys. There is not anything worse than cowards hiding behind the scenes.”


” What more can you expect? You are the goddamn guy with the top prize in this mother fucker. People want what you have, and you are new to the mountain top… yeah mother fucker, they are going to try you from all angles.”


” It is a good thing you guys stopped me… I was about to rip whoever is in this truck apart.”

WORDS FROM THE STONED ONE: The Interview

We open with Steve Sayors sitting on an interview set with the XWF Universal Champion Chris Page. There is not any build-up, it is right to the meat and potatoes.


” This is the first interview you have given since officially becoming the new XWF Universal Champion…” The scene fades in as Steve Sayors is sitting opposite Chris Page, and between both men rests Chris’s XWF Universal Championship with the gold faceplates on the bright green strap facing the camera.


” First let me congratulate you on accomplishing your goal…”


[green]” It is something that has been very long overdue.”


” The match with Thad was incredible.”


” Was there any doubt? Have you not been paying attention to anything my name has been attached to over the last two years? Everything I touch turns to gold, every match I am involved in is a show stealer and this deal with Thad is not any different. Thad walked in underestimating me, he walked in unprepared for me, and he played our game exactly as I predicted he would. Checkmate, new Champion.” Chris oozes sheer sarcasm as he looks across at Steve.[/green]


” What do you have to say to anyone who questions how long it took you to get this Championship around your waist? [b]This brings a sly smirk to Chris’s face.


” Let the haters hate. First, it was I was overrated, I could not get the job done… and now it is what took you so long? Trolls will be trolls and people will always have their perception; however, my reality is looking at that belt right there knowing that I am the king of this castle while guys like Big D and Thaddeus Duke will always crumble under the pressure that being the top guy on the food chain brings to the table.” There is a quick pause from Chris before he states.


” I know that I am not for everybody which is why I do not go out of my way to please anybody. I stick to myself, I carefully dictate the pace of anything that has my name attached to it, and I execute my plans to perfection. The proof to all of that rests right there on that table.”
Chris points over to the Universal Title.


” We have a lot of information to cover; the next being your association with BoB? We saw your first two appearances on television earlier this week when you appeared on Anarchy as well as Savage; both times you had members of BoB at your side. That coupled with what we saw at Snow Job and an apparent BoB parade, is it safe to assume that you are aligned with BoB?”


” I have always been a guy that sits back and lets people assume anything they choose; BoB is a perfect case in point. I mean, I didn’t know putting on a shirt after wrestling fifty minutes in twelve-degree weather was a dumb idea; much like I did not know that having some friends who wanted to celebrate a milestone achievement was frowned upon. Those two actions sparked this massive outcry that I am aligned with BoB.” Chris turns his sole attention towards the camera as he then states.


” I am not now, nor have I ever been a member of BoB; but that does not mean that I do not see a wealth of potential just waiting to break out amongst several key players within the group. Them No Good Bastards put themselves on the map at High Stakes, Miss Fury is a diamond in the rough… that does not mean that I am aligned with them; but you got people like Big D running around flapping his cock sucker like he knows what the fuck is up versus what is a fact, you got guys that WANT it to be true, that NEED for it to be true… but it is just not.” Chris shifts his attention back over towards Steve as he continues.


” There is only one person that I will ever consider myself to be aligned with, Robert Main.”


” You bring up Robert, it leads me to want to ask for an update on his injury status?


” When Robert is ready for everyone to know what is going on with him he will let them know. What I have learned from Rob over the last several years is he tends to be a very private person; I am not going to put out his information for him. What I will tell you is he is doing a lot better and he sends his love to all his fans and friends who are asking about him.”
Chris states as he waits for his next question.


” I am assuming you speak to Robert frequently.”


” Not that it is any of your business but yeah, I see him a few times a week. What kind of friend would not keep checking on someone he respects and values? I might be a very busy man but I am never too busy to pop in on Rob while he is still recovering.”


” You mentioned that you are a busy man; it seems there is no rest for the weary when you won the title at Snow Job and now you are turning right around your first title defense in a Universal Title versus World Title unification match against Big D in just a few short days on Warfare.”







” Let me answer this in two parts; the first being I do not think it is anything special to turn right around and defending the top prize in this federation. The last several Champions have done the same thing, when you are the top guy you are expected to defend the title once a month so why not go ahead and get it out of the way. The second part is I am going to go ahead and correct you when you say this is a title unification match because only one of these belts is recognized, and that is the one that I am bringing to the dance.” Chris leans forward while reaching out and picking up his version of the Universal Championship and resting it on his lap before he continues.


” I saw your little interview with my challenger… I saw you hamming it up with him, but more importantly, I saw you validate him for being nothing more than a guy that resurrected a title from the closet of Vinnie Lane because he is not capable of performing at a world-class level and needed a prop to make himself feel better about being nothing more than a lower card talent for ninety-nine percent of his professional career.” Steve starts to say something but he is instantly cut off by a stern Chris Page.


” Shut your fucking mouth. You talk when I tell you to talk, understood?” Steve Sayors sinks back in his seat as the XWF Universal Champion continues.


” It is not my fault that the guy is nothing but a punchline on this roster. He points the finger at ALL the chances I have had to become the Universal Champion while trying to cite my record as a losing one.”
Chris glances down into his lap at the Universal Championship as he asks Steve.


” Who is losing here? And as far as opportunities I waited over a year before I stepped back to the plate after being defeated by Solider in 2019, as far as earning it I think headlining every Pay Per View since War Games of last year speaks otherwise. Listen, it sounds to me that Daniel is a little upset that Theo and Vinnie see money in me while seeing pennies in him. It sounds like he has sour grapes for being a pathetic loser; hell Steve this is the most work he has had to do in four months since gifting himself the World Title. He has not been cutting promos, he has not been doing a goddamn thing but occupying television time causing the viewers at home to change the goddamn channel, and somehow this is my fault? Guys like Daniel have to learn if they want to blame someone for being a disappointment then they should probably look in the mirror.” There is another pause from Chris before he continues.


” He talks about me getting opportunities while others like himself have to sit back and wait; hey it is not my fault that he has not gone out and CREATED opportunities over the last two years to garner the attention or consideration to be in this position he is in now. I think it is nothing short of hysterical that he sat in front of you and tried to leverage that playschool toy he calls a World Title as his way into the Universal Title scene. The fact is he was the FIRST person to step up and speak my name with a camera present, and now as time has passed he has shown the world that he is not capable of the workload that comes along with being the top guy on the roster. This is not just an every other week gig, this is daily work that does not stop just because you do not feel good or if you want a day off. He burnt out a week and a half ago while I was just starting the verbal slaughter that is only going to continue until I am content with the beating that I am going to give him come Wednesday Night on Warfare.” Chris glares over at Steve who does not say a word.


” This is where you talk.” Steve breaks his silence.


” Big D has said… Steve is cut off by Chris before he can even go any further.


” Listen, Steve, I am not going to sit here that respond to every little thing that cunt has to say about me… I will leave that to him, it is his game. What I want to talk about is; what is the Anarchy deal that left us hanging on Savage because we all know this deal with Daniel is a foregone conclusion just like I knew it was with Thaddeus before the bell rang. I am only going to speak on this one time…” Chris turns and redirects his attention towards the hard camera.


” I do not know who you are or what you are implying.”
Chris’s gaze into the camera intensifies with each word.


” We all know where I am going to be on Wednesday night; I will be the guy holding a true Championship and a toy at the end of Warfare. We can stop with the charades and you show up live on television and accuse me of what you want to accuse me of. Better yet, I know you are out there and I know you are listening, if you want to try me you can try me at March Madness.” Chris takes just a second before he states.


” You wanted my attention? Be careful what you wish for because now you are going to get it. Pay close attention to what happens to Daniel, pay attention to how I crush his hopes and dreams of ever being looked at as a Universal Champion. Do you have the guts to answer my call? Do you have the guts to show yourself, or do you want to continue hiding in the shadows like the pussy you are? I guess this is the crossroads you have come to, isn’t it? The only person that will be exposed will be you.” The scene fades to black.
