The scene begins with Harold Davis arriving at the arena at Calgary. His personal assisnt Leon is trailing him carrying his bags. Harold is greeted at the door by Steve Sayors, the interviewer for the XWF.

Steve Sayors: Hey Harold, you wanted to say a few words before your match tonight?

Harold: Yes Steve, nice to meet you by the way. I've been here observing what goes on around here for the past few weeks and I think I've gone about my methods all wrong. I underestimated the competition, I thought I could stroll through my matches, picking up plenty of wins and concentrate on making myself a global entity through the XWF. But I know now that I need to be far more committed in the ring. There might be some oddball characters here, but they get the job done when they need to. And I need to be able to do the same. So they can throw all the inner monolgue and all the passion they want at me but it won't be enough Steve.

Harold Davis goes to walk away, but takes a second to think about it and heads back.

Harold Davis: Steve, were you a fan of the seattle grunge movement?

Steve Sayors: It's not really my thing but I appreciate its importance to music. Why do you ask?

Harold Davis: See, that's what I don't get. I don't get why a person like Kurt Cobain gets so much respect from people. He doesn't deserve it. He wrote a song which makes ZERO sense and slapped some power chords over the top because he was too lazy to write an arrangement of notes and somehow it became a massive hit. And then he starts whining and bitching that the people that listened to that song, the same people which made him rich and famous, the same people that "respect" him so much didn't know the meaning of a song which is incomprehensible to 99.9 percent of the public. To the point of writing another song about it, and then that song became a hit too! My god Steve, if the man learnt to take a compliment once in a while he wouldn't have had to resort to putting a shotgun to his brain. He'd rather be dead than popular. Why on earth does that man deserve respect when someone like me, who earnt a living through working hard and making the right decisions someone who should be respected gets brushed aside and not thought of a second time. I know Jessie Diaz is influenced by the Seattle movement, by the Eddie Vedders and the Kurt Cobains of this world. I know that she thinks it gives her the strength to stand up and be counted by everyone else. But I honestly feel that deep down inside she wants people to take her lightly and underestimate her because she knows that the only way she's going to get anywhere in this business. And it may work, she may get some wins from people who do exactly that. But I'm not of them, not anymore. Your idol couldn't handle the slightest of pressure and I don't think you can either. See you in the ring.

Harold Davis storms off leaving Leon in shock of the outburst he just heard.
