Johnny X-treme is backstage in a steel chair drinking a bottle of water when Paul Haymen comes up to him in a black suit and a baseball cap on his head sporting a million dollar smile.

Paul: Hey there Johnny, How's my new Superstar doing?

Johnny: Eh, im alright.

Paul: Just alright? I'd figure since you just got your first win you'd be estatic.

Johnny gets up and puts his cell phone in his pocket and takes a sip from the bottled water near him.

Johnny: Look, I appreciate you giving me this shot in the XWF, dont think im not. But I got to be honest, Im not down with this tag-team shit right now.

Paul: Really? I figured it'd be right up your ally.

Johnny: Well a partner is just gunna slow me down. I cant be watching someone elses back when Im worried about my own. Now Running in with the steel chairs, now that was awesome. That was...I dunno...

Johnny paces across the hallway a few times.

Johnny: It was me! The Chairs was my way of kicking in the door to XWF the hardcore way.

Paul shakes his head and then shrugs his shoulders.

Paul: Well as an XWF superstar on my roster im here to make my talent happy, what would make John Xtreme happy.

Johnny sits down and thinks for a second tilting his head up to the ceiling lights.

Johnny: Hard Work.

Paul tilts his head confused

Johnny: See Paul, believe it or not. Im not here to win or lose. Im here to Cause Damage and Destruction. Like the Hardcore forefathers before me. Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Tommy Dreamer. And one of the things they all did well was work hard. And not just in the ring. I want to help out behind the show. Put up and take down the ring at night.

Paul looks baffled

Paul: Uhh, well..I mean if it makes you happy.

Johnny: And second, I want singles competition. Now, I know Im facing Matt and Alex. Ill fight them as a tag-team. But after tonight, I want to fight them one at a time. I dont care who I face first. I dont start anything I cant finish. And I'll finish them off one by one.

Paul:.....All I hear is Ratings.

Johnny smirks and looks at him.

Johnny: If you want Ratings...and to make your new XWF Superstar happy...Make them Hardcore Matches.

Paul Slaps Johnny on the shoulder.

Paul: KID!!!! I like the way you think. Ill put it into concideration. I have to run it by a few people marketing exects you know the deal. But I'll see what I can do.

Johnny shakes his head

Johnny: Thats all I ask.

Paul walks away and Johnny walks down the hall to his Locker room.

???: HEY X-TREME

Johnny turns around and mumbles under his breath.

Johnny: Shit.

Brian Braxton runs up to Johnny smiling

Brian: Hey man, our debut rocked.

Johnny: yeah, mine did.

Brian: I smell a new tag-team taking over the XWF.

Johnny shakes his head and pats Brian on the shoulder.

John: Yeah, dude listen. Im not down for a tag-team. I mean I got your back in our match. But thats it. Dont take it the wrong way or anything. But it's not my time to enter the tag-team divison. I dont know you, I dont trust you. But We're booked in a match. So I got your back but dont count on this being a regular thing.

Braxton looks at John as if insulted. But instead of saying anything he nods his head like a man and walks away.

Johnny looks around to the people setting up ths cables in the background, to the people bringing in ring parts, and finally to the wrestlers coming in and out.

Johnny: yeah...

He starts as he puts his hands behind his head and walks to his locker room

Johnny: XWF is my home.
