The camera fades into a small, makeshift podcast studio. The background is taken up by a banner titled, "Squared Circle Podcast". Sitting next to each other at a table in front of the banner are hosts Tyler Shaw and Chad McCoy.
Tyler: Welcome back to the podcast everyone. We're going to do a segment now where we look at recent signings to wrestling promotions and give our opinions on them. We call this segment, "Just Sayin". Chad, who do we have up first?
Chad: Well Tyler, last week XWF offered a contract to Steve Justice and he's scheduled to make his debut on Savage Saturday's card before the Leap of Faith PPV. What do you think of this move, Tyler?
Tyler: This is kind of an interesting signing, Chad. He hasn't been active in a few years due to injury and just not being the easiest person to work with at times. Those aren't the sort of things that endear you to promoters and make them want to hire you.
Chad: Ok, so why risk hiring the guy?
Tyler: Because when he shows up, he brings the goods. He cuts a pretty good promo and he's shown in the past that he can have good matches against a variety of opponents. He's best known for his work in the old NWA where he held a lot of regional titles and had a cup of coffee with the NWA World Tag Team Titles.
Chad: I dunno T, this is a guy who just hasn't made the most of the opportunities given to him. When he's been given the shot at the main event, he just chokes for some reason everytime. I mean, the guy just celebrated his 39th birthday so his prime years are running out. Sure, he's got a cult following on a national level in North America and Europe, but he isn't a true international star. What do you think he's going to do for the XWF?
Tyler: Well Chad, that depends. If he can avoid the injury bug that's plagued him for his whole career and he can keep in management's good books, I'm just sayin' he could be a real player in the XWF title scene. We'll just have to tune into Saturday Night Savage and see.
Chad: We'll be back after a word from our sponsors.
