One Last Prologue >>

With the next promo, there will be no more prologues, so John wanted me to do this last one. He figured it took away from his promo time, ha go figure right?

ANYWAYS, John has started out amazing here in XWF. He has won his debut match on Madness and last Sunday, he won his first ever pay per view match at High Stakes. Now he challenges three other guys for a spot in the elimination chamber on the next pay per view, Wild Card.

The winner of the elimination chamber will take on the king of the XWF for his title.

John will walk into Madness this coming up Monday and will be one step closer to greatness.

The Promo >> Lessons Shall Be Taught.

The scene opens as we see John, sitting in a dressing room wearing a pair of blue jogging shorts, socked feet and shirtless with a towel draped around his neck. He's at the new training and gym facility specially built for his peers at XWF to make use of, an hour after finishing up the second leg of his daily training and exercise regiment. He is intently watching DVDs of Shocker, Nightmare and Alex Richards' matches before heading to one of the two regulation rings the facility offers to practice his skills. He's studying them very methodically, pausing the DVD in places of interest, then viewing each frame for several seconds before going to the next, trying to see all details and every aspect of exactly how these three guys pulls off a wrestling move and how and why it happens. Studying the matches along side him is his personal trainer, a man who has made a name in this business from WCW to Puerto Rico, "Dirty" Dutch Mantell.

Dutch was the first one to discover John's talent and get him his first matches on the independent circuit.

Hmm. Predictable yet dangerous. I'm going to have to make sure I don't let that happen.

The Legend >> DUTCH MANTELL
Indeed, but easily countered if you keep your wits about you, which I might add, you don't in those rare times.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
True. Every man has his limits, even me. I don't think any one of these men can take me to that limit, but I can sure take them beyond their own limits.

John is watching Nightmare's last match at High Stakes. Dutch and John watch Nightmare bring the fight to The Senator.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
And that's where I can't be by the end. See Dutch, that's what I was talking about, Nightmare couldn't close the deal.

John stands up and walks into a side room. The camera doesn't follow but we can hear everything he says.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
Hey Dutch! I think we're done here for the time being. Did you want to have a quick training match? Just so I can warm up for my practice session later. I want to see if I can take out the vigilante (Dutch's nickname while working in Puerto Rico) haha

The Legend >> DUTCH MANTELL
Sure thing kid. I was wondering when you'd get around to asking me that, but lets make it interesting this time around.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
How so?

The Legend >> DUTCH MANTELL
You'll see when you get your ass downstairs and into the ring.

John returns to the main room and switches off the twenty-inch LCD screen provided in each of the private dressing rooms.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
So it's the guessing game with you again? Fine by me. By the way, shouldn't you already be in the ring waiting impatiently for me?

He waits for a moment with a sarcastic smirk on his face as Dutch gives him a hard stare as he walks towards the door. They head out the room towards the training gym downstairs where the two rings are located as the scene fades to black as the sound of the door clicking shut is heard.

Part 2 >> Day After

The scene opens the day after the in-ring practice session with Dutch and the Madness warm-up match as we find John in the dressing room at the facility. He slips a DVD into the player, quickly seats himself on the stool that he had a maintenance man go fetch from the facility storeroom, then turns to the camera.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
It's good to see that you, court jester, decided to drop on by and I might add, just in the nick of time too. You were close to being tardy and this taskmaster doesn't tolerate tardiness. Now, for the reason why I called you to drop on by is because I felt you needed to be re-educated in the subject of why you three guys will never be able to claim a victory over me in a couple of days at Madness.

He presses the play button on the remote and scene switches to bring the LCD screen into full view. The words John Austin and FREAK vs. Brian Campbell and Jason Smith fade in, then slowly fade out to be replaced by the words High Stakes and seconds later footage of the match is played. We see John hitting the Painkiller on Jason Smith followed by John hitting the Bruiser Brody knee drop on Brian for the win. The scene cuts back to John.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
You know, it's tough being XWF's hottest talent. Every nut-sack imaginable thinks they've got what it takes to be on top of the mountain, like those two jerk-offs there in that match clip. This Monday it's going to be no damn different when I have to take on three more no-names to earn my spot in the Elimination Chamber.

He trails off as the scene cuts back to the LCD screen bringing it to full screen as John makes the pin hooking the leg and gets the three count. The scene switches back to John.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
It never gets old watching that haha. Anyways, to be the king of the XWF you have to destruct and destroy your talent around you. Alex Richards, Shocker and Nightmare, you three should get on you knees and thank the God you pray to that you get to step in the ring with the hottest wrestler in XWF.

John takes a short breath before talking once again.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
I hope you three have trained your ass off and I hope you have studied up on all the matches through out my career because when you step inside the ring with the greatest wrestler in XWF today, there is no turning back. You may be big men here in XWF and you may have took on some big names in this business but you will never match up to me....HotShot John Austin. I have took on the best of the best and I have defeated them all. I got here to XWF and I have continued my winning ways. See you guys, this is your biggest chance to actually make a name for yourself here in this company but do you have what it takes to defeat me, I don't think you do. But I want to see you prove me wrong, can you actually defeat this physical specimen. I want to see if you got the balls to actually get that pin over me but we all know that is not going to happen.

John stands up from the stool and walks over to his black gym bag and lays his clothes out on the bench. John pulls out his brand new gold Rolex watch and slips it on his right wrist. He bought this watch right after his win over Team Warfare last Sunday. John takes the DVD out of the DVD player and puts it in the case. He also puts it in his gym bag. John walks back over to the stool and sits down.

HotShot >> JOHN AUSTIN
Nobody has been able to prove their dominance over me. Everyone else that has crossed paths with me has fell victim and you three need to be ready to be added to that list of men. It doesn't matter if your six foot four, two hundred and forty pounds or seven foot four, four hundred and ten pounds, I will defeat you. It doesn't make a difference and you are going to have to come at me with everything to actually stand a chance against me. Survival is the name of the game and I know DAMN well I will survive. You are going to experience a harsh lesson in the ring with me and will suffer greatly from the lesson I have selected this time out. Oh yes, I've spent the past week and a half focused on what I wanted to do in the ring this coming up Monday and after much debating, I now have my game plan in place and ready to execute. All it takes is one tiny little mistake which I'll take advantage of and mop up the canvas with you jabronis. I want everyone to bet on this match and place your bets on me because my track record shows it...I NEVER LET YOU DOWN and before it's all said and done... you're looking at the next king of XWF right here..

John signals his cameraman that he's finished as he exits his surroundings. The scene fades to black as John closes the door behind him.
