You can use the other characters in the 24/7 sections, such as in "Interaction". Yes, normally you can't use other members' characters, but these are the exceptions to the rule. I may be wrong, but I was here in 2013, that's how it worked for the two other belts, came back, still the same, and now I see you have to pin the champ on here. How can you pin a champ without mentioning them being within your character's vicinity?

Not trying to get involved with this, but the difference is that you are writing actions that Gunn is doing without permission as well as writing your actions against Gunn. In all the examples you listed, they didn't write for the other character, only themselves.

I definitely agree with the spirit of the rule in general, but I'm a little confused that, unless missed something, I'm only seeing the following actions by Gunn:

Again, I agree with the rule typically, but this kinda seems like an example of it being enforced more because of who the poster is than anything else. Same with the revised X-pin, which I am assuming is invalid because of an auto-play video. It could have just been edited out or removed by a mod, instead of completely not counting, don't you think?

Point is, it's pretty obvious that it's just a matter of being harder on one person than would be done against another.

I don't think you're talking about me, but I have nothing against Rayne and in fact he and I have talked on Skype and he seems pretty cool although I can't speak for these two lol. However, the Xtreme pin attempt which is still up to see doesn't count because Rayne pretty much wrote out an entire story controlling Fernando without consent from my understanding. Unless I'm wrong, then feel free to tear apart my asshole.

And in this thread here I'm not seeing any real issue in what he posted. That rule exists because obviously you don't want someone else making your guy do something out of character or whatever... but simply writing that Gunn took a swing at him isn't at all an issue, I wouldn't think. Tommy Gunn definitely would have taken a swing at a dude who kissed him.

I don't think Shane got around to an announcement yet but one of my duties is to handle any issues that come up here.

FWIW I see what Lane here is saying but I'd too be curious if something's been missed or at least which part of the attack is being called out. Goes without saying that some actions are accepted. I've even seen some go so far as to write offense in for the attackee and turning it into a back and forth brawl before getting the upper hand and making the pin. Now those guys who had offense written for them could come back and say they don't agree with that because it made it look like the attacker out faught them fairly instead of it looking like a surprise.

First, the post has an autoplay in it which is not allowed.

Rayne has been told about this I don't even know how many times. I know this because most of the time I was sending him the PM's telling him to stop and he would usually then ask if he could post autoplays on this board but not that board and so on and so forth. Eventually when he felt like he wasn't getting his way Shane would suddenly be CC'd on the PM's. Of course, to my knowledge Shane did not get involved because the rules are the rules and Rayne takes issue with them.

Secondly, he didn't pin me in the initial post so that right there invalidates the entire thread as far as I understood the rules.

Thirdly, it may be nit picky but he did use my character in a way that I'm not a fan of. And while others may do far worse that is up to each handler to take exception or not. Just because they may not does not mean that a lesser issue is not an issue.

Fourthly and this has nothing to do with this specific post but with the Austin Fernando X title pin, first he wrote up dialogue for Fernanado then he took that out but still wrote up a several hundred word scene in which he had Fernando doing all kinds of things. Oh and it included an autoplay.

The mods shouldn't have to remove an autoplay from every Rayne thread because he is too ignorant to follow the rules.

Once is more than enough. You want to remove an autoplay from a newbie who doesn't know any better? Go for it. Send them a PM or make an edit note at the bottom of the post: Hey, removed your autoplay because they are only allowed on rp boards. and that's that.

Both of which have been done for Rayne but he still seems to ignore it.

I guess I assumed the autoplay and the non-pin here weren't the issue since the thread had continued on long after those things.

Shade I'm afraid the issue with your last pin was that it didn't include trash talk and the whole point of this part of the fed is to attack each other with trash talk. It's ok to do a quick pin on the X-Treme board but here on the Federweight you need trash talk and a pin.

Ok, first of all, thank you Vinny for taking up for me, you've been extremely cool to me since we first met, and I'm glad to have a friend like you. And, yes I didn't place a pin in the original post... But, I swear I didn't intentionally break any rules, though I do admit I broke a few. And I'm sure my meaning to or not doesn't matter to Frodo or others, but I promise to any that care that I did try to do this legit. I truly didn't think I was breaking any rules, as, for one thing, I know I've been told about this countless times, but I take the autoplay rule as 'any RPs'.

I think that's what Gladiator was talking about, that regardless of if the thread allows replies or not, it can be put on autoplay. When I go to a thread, I click on the name of the thread on the sidebar, so it goes to the top post, so I don't take into account the people that go straight to the new post. I use autoplay so that I know that people will get the feeling I'm intending for the rp, and as someone said, I did choose the right song for this, IMO. Though, if I can't use them for non matchRP/CD stuff then that's fine, because I'm finally starting to do better, and I want to keep that going.

And I took out Austin's speech, not his actions, but I wrote him how I feel he'd portray his character, just as Vinnie mentioned about Gunn. I had him shown in the most positive light I could, showing his charm and way with the ladies and all that, and I THOUGHT it was actually going to be well received, but it wasn't. I was told on Skype to just take the 'L' but I poured about an hour and a half to two hours into it, and though I didn't need to do that, I wanted to prove myself, and that came to mind.

But it's fine, I'll take the two losses, but I'm just hoping I can turn things around, because the energy I'd been feeling is kinda waning now because the things I try to do are falling flat, and I'm failing. But, I'm not gonna go emo like I did in '13. I'd just like some reassurance that what I'm writing isn't all for nought. But I do stand by my statement that I didn't 'blatantly' ignore the rules.

When I posted both of these, all of that didn't cross my mind, I just go into an rp with a song in mind, and that's what fuels my writing. BTW, Vince, you said you didn't think I was going to win... Look, you can't take 24/7 losses to heart. Most of them are going to be losses. I've made probably 100 X Title pins, and all but one of them was a loss.

The Feder has a better success rate, and it's better for trying to improve on stuff (The X is really nothing more than luck. Honestly, Fern doesn't have to do anything other than pop online within 12 hours to overcome all of your effort) but the Feder also has some stricter rules as far as posting times and word limits, etc.

Don't take stuff like this personal. Everyone involved just seems to be taking it more serious than need be,

I actually agree with you, and in fact I even told someone the other day that you seem to be much more toned down than some of the stuff I had seen from you in the past. However, your actions are your actions, past, present or future and you are accountable for them just like everyone else is.

Your biggest issue here this time around has not been the use of autoplay where it shouldn't be, obviously the biggest issue here is how you are using other characters without their consent. It is not your right to write Fernando how you think Fernando would portray him. That kind of thing is very clearly a no no because doing so allows for so many bad things to happen.

Imagine if I wrote a 24/7 post where I had your character get gang raped by a gaggle of silver back apes(h/t Entourage) because I thought that's how your character would be portrayed because that's what I thought your character would like? Do you see how unfair that would be to your character? I know I'd be furious if someone did that to me. And yes, while that example is extreme, it is something that could happen if the door is opened. But it's not, it remains firmly closed and I think you would do yourself a world of good if you recognized that. I think you would end up having more fun if you just kept it more simple. I really do.
