The Apartment Floor.

Chris Macbeth is lying flat on his back on the floor of his apartment on West Irving Park Road, Chicago. He is still sore from Wednesday Night Ultimate Warfare. The events that took place that night had taken its toll on his body, mind and his spirit.

All the cuts and bruises he had received still stung with every movement he made but the worst pain at all came from one bruise in particular, His bruised ego. How could he be so stupid?

How could he be so stupid to not think, not prepare himself for the events of that night. Not the match... the match was fine he had it won. He had failed to think or prepare for the events of anyone else getting involved. It was an X-Treme Rules match he was against a member of the Black Circle. If anything he did at least acknowledge that these cowardly halfwits may try to save one of their own but it didn’t worry him, not because he thought he could take them all himself but because he knew Warfare general manager Wallace Witasick despised that group more than even he did. Wallace wouldn’t let it happen.

This was a grave error in judgement and caused him to lose focus on what was happening around him. His one goal that week was to remove that championship belt from around Luca and take it away from the Black Circle. He forgot all about the previous weeks Warfare where he was screwed out of a match with Big Bad Leroy only then to be booked in a match with what seems to be Wallace Witasicks golden boy A.J Powell. Not that he felt that he really needed it but the same person he thought or expected to have his back in the match against Luca then allowed his Golden Boy to interfere which in turn cost him the match and cost his chance to hold the X-Treme title aloft in front of all the Warfare fans.

Macbeth grimaces as he rolls onto his side and then onto his front. Using his arms he pushes himself onto his knees and then he finally gingerly manages to raise himself to standing. This is the repetitive routine that Macbeth’s physiotherapist has given him to perform 3 times a day until he is fully recovered. Slightly lightheaded after standing up for the first time in an hour Macbeth walks into his kitchen. Reaching into the fridge he pulls out a Corona and cracks the top and chugs it back.

Faith No More.

Faith had not been heard from nor had Macbeth attempted contact with Faith since prior to last weeks Warfare. Maybe he should have taken her up on her offer of help. His own curiosity and the events that took place on Wednesday night have led to him standing on the very end of Navy Pier looking out into the Great Lake. Checking his watch Macbeth turns to look back down the pier leaning his back on the railings waiting patiently for the meeting to begin.

Sometime later fed up of being stood out in the Chicago chill still in losts of pain Macbeth makes his way back down the pier into Bubba Gump's Shrimp Factory for some lunch. He sits at his table with a drink thinking of why Faith would be a no show. After last week where she didn't seem to want to leave him alone. Macbeth cell begins to ring and he gets up for his table and heads outside to take the call.

Sometime later.

Macbeth walks back into Bubba Gumps and instantly sees the back of someone else stood at his table. As he walks through a crowd of people who are leaving after filling themselves up with sea food he realises who it is sat there.

"Faith"

Macbeth sits down in front of Faith with a puzzled look on his face.

Where did she come from? He was only stood right out front he couldn't have missed her. Could he?

Faith: Chris Macbeth, I knew you would call and I told you that you needed my help.

Faith smiles as the waitress brings her a drink and places it on the table.

Macbeth: Nice of you to join me. Ok so lets talk business.

The scene fades.

Back to the Apartment Floor.

17:00pm is time for Macbeth's next session of laying flat on his back on his apartment floor. Personally he doesn't see how this is helping cure his aching bones and muscles plus his stinging head with a deep gash and 20 stitches. That chair shot, the shot that won the match for Luca Arzegotti was something that Macbeth never ever wants a repeat of. There is no pain straight away. The feeling upon impact is of a state of shock, a numbness that spreads throughout your entire body starting in your stomach. There is a feeling of sickness which then rises up into your brain causing the shock factor to increase as you can feel your eyes slowly rolling back and the eyelids slowly closing. At this point everything around you is a blur, all the people are getting a lot taller than they seemed to be before, Your knees are buckling and all muscle strength has technically been made redundant as your body as gone into safe mode and you collapse to the floor in a heap.

The physio knows what he is doing though. After Macbeth woke up backstage at the event he vowed to never get knocked out flat on his back ever again. To never experience that sensation again. To never be in the position where he is defenceless laying on the floor with someone stood over him. But it feels so good and is helping him well on the road to recovery lying here flat on his back with Adam looking over him shaking his head.

Adam: Should have gone with the girl.


Adam smiles and Macbeth again eases himself onto his side and then all fours before pushing himself up to his feet and shaking Adams hand.


Macbeth: Your an Arsehole!

Annoyed is not the Word.

The jumped up little weasel AJ Powell cost me my X-Treme Title last week on Warfare. All because... Well I don’t really know why? If he hadn’t of interfered in the match and I had gone on to win like it was obvious i was going too our match next week on Warfare that Wally had previously set up may have been a title match. That’s right AJ you may have had the chance to get your grubby little hands on some gold. But no your lack of intelligence has ruined that for you and now all your going to get on your long awaited return to the ring is to be completely annihilated, mutilated and destroyed by a X-Tremley pissed off Chris Macbeth in the X-Treme Rules match at Warfare Wednesday Coming.

Yes you may say I gave you a cheap shot on your return to the XWF but my man what you have done is beyond belief. What you have done is cost someone of there destiny, cost me of my destiny, my destiny to become a champion. With doing that you have also handed a little bit of the XWF power straight back to The Black Circle because AJ everybody knows he who holds the gold, holds the power. Now the Black Circle still have the X-Treme Title in their ranks along with Sebastian Duke’s United States Title.

A.J, for causing all this mess, all the blood, destruction and dare I say it death at the hands for the ever powerful Black Circle you must pay. Pay like many other will have to pay at the hands of that disgusting group of human beings.

Wednesday will be the day that I and all of the decent people here in the XWF including the fans will get there retribution against you for all you have caused in your silly little whirlwind of a return.

The day of Retribution is almost upon us!
