I sit within my throne, enjoying this cool summer night on the sacred land behind my Compound. A few of my young brothers light up the night with flaming torches.
It's been a long time since I've sat here and spoke at length. I have my reasons for that. I've since broken my silence, but I have not yet sat here and spoken to any of you. I intend to change that at this moment.
In the grand scheme of things, all the things, not just XWF things, I do believe that beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I will one day be remembered as a legend. As they say, legends never die. Long after I have been placed six feet beneath the Earth, the legend of Sebastian Duke, the legend that is your King of Darkness will live on within the halls of the Xtreme Wrestling Federation for all eternity. When the day arrives that I no longer continue to grace your television screens, you will remember Sebastian Duke for the many memories I've undoubtedly created. You will remember the King of Darkness for the countless epic encounters with other XWF stars that I've had.
You will remember me for all of the good and all of the bad that I have done. You will remember me getting my ass served up on a silver platter and force fed back to me by Unknown Soldier on day one. You will remember the struggles and the triumphs and the failures I have been through. You will remember the day that I turned the corner and bested Unknown Soldier and became the first person ever to pin him to the mat. You will remember the day Sebastian Duke reached the pinnacle of this industry and took home the top prize in the game.
It is a legacy that I'm proud of. It is a legacy forged in Darkness and paved with a number of memorable matches and memorable moments with a number of memorable stars. A literal who's who of the Xtreme Wrestling Federation.
Unknown Soldier.
Poppa Feder.
Mark Flynn.
Azrael Erebus.
John Madison.
NAZI.
Griffin MacAlister.
Some of the absolute best that have ever stepped foot inside the playground of Xtreme. I've stood toe to toe with every last one of them and not one of them would tell you I was weak. They may not admit it in front of a camera, because you know, over inflated ego's and all. Still, the truth remains. I've stood face to face with every last modern day legend the XWF has to offer.
You could ask Soldier, if you could find him at least, and he'd tell you he saw me coming. You could ask Poppa Feder, assuming he still had hearing, repeating the facts, it took three of them to defeat one of me.
You could ask Mark Flynn who the better man is between he and I. Not once. Not twice. Three times, actually. In fact, he's the one that called me a legend.
Azrael Erebus would probably tell you we beat respect for other, into each other. He's without a doubt the single toughest opponent I've ever faced.
John Madison... Well... He'd first tell you he never wants to meet me in the ring again. Then he'd conclude with something about feces and semen. Then blame me for something completely irrelevant. So his words don't carry much weight.
NAZI would tell you I bested him every damn time we ever met in the ring.
Griffin MacAlister... He'd tell you its a lot easier to have me as a friend rather than an enemy.
All of those top names of the industry. Some I've won, some I've lost. But you know what sets me a part from those top names? You know what really makes me stand head and shoulders above them? I have managed to go out and win every title in the Xtreme Wrestling Federation. At least in one form or another. I have done things that in the beginning of it all, even I doubted that I could achieve. I continued to learn this business and grow with it.
In the world of the Xtreme Wrestling Federation, I've withstood the test of time. I've stood shoulder to shoulder with men equal, greater and lesser than I and I regret nothing I have ever done. Everything I am and everything I do has a greater purpose.
There are a great many young stars gracing your television screens week in and week out. If I could give them any advice at all, it'd be that take your bumps and move on. The Xtreme Wrestling Federation is not for the weak minded or the faint of heart. It takes intelligence and the ability to grow and adapt to your surroundings to achieve greatness here. I've done it. I know.
Take Cain for instance. He's a man that has done a great many things prior to coming to the XWF. Yet he's here now and has not had the success that he's looking for. Is it him? Or is it the environment of the XWF? I can tell you that even though he is one of my opponents this week, that I do respect him. He and I went head to head before and I can tell you without question, that I do see a lot of myself in him. He's big and strong, and dedicated to perfecting his craft in the ring. Cain took the King of Darkness to the limit.
Cain may not have the best record in the XWF, but I can tell you that more often than not, he's testing himself against the biggest stars in the industry. Some day very soon, Cain will get over that hump. Cain will beat one of those big time stars he keeps facing. Then, much like Sebastian Duke, the XWF legend that will undoubtedly be Cain, will begin.
Cain, believe me, I know what its like to come up a little short sometimes...
Speaking of short... Frodo Smackins... You short minded, short statured, short sighted little runt. Do you think saying things about my wife is going to help your case? Do you think saying my dead sons name over and over is going to get you anywhere? Do you think trying to compare me to Hank Lane is even close to an accurate comparison?
Let me answer that for you, Frodo. The answer there is an overwhelming and emphatic no. You're doing yourself more harm than good anytime you open your little half wit, half pint mouth.
Tell me Frodo, when you proclaim me as 'Maddy's bitch,' are you referring to John Madison? I'm pretty sure you are and you obviously have no idea how The Black Circle works. John Madison doesn't give the orders. He merely relays them. So that begs the question Frodo Smackins, if its not John Madison, and its not NAZI, and its not Sebastian Duke or his little brother calling the shots, then who is? Who calls all the shots for The Black Circle? Who hands down the orders for The Black Circle?
The answer there is an easy one. Simple, just like you. Shane still pulls all the strings. Don't worry your undersized little brain about it, Frodo. Don't worry how Shane can still pull all of the strings. Just know that its the absolute truth.
Trust me.
Quote:This is a title I know all too well as I held it with Poppa Fedder and Unknown Soldier for over 6 months and then after they had to leave to do "other commitments" I teamed up with Sebastian Duke and Cam Lang and held it for 9 days. So in total I held the belt for 192 days. That is longer than anyone who has held a belt here! That's pretty impressive wouldn't you say?
I'd like to address some thing my one time friend, Peter Gilmour said. What's impressive, is the fact that no matter what resources there are in the world. Libraries have books, which he probably can't read without accompanied illustrations. The interwebs even allow you to research just about anything you can possibly want to research and learn more about. Yet, Peter Gilmours intelligence level continues to drop.
He says his 192 day reign as Trios champion, a reign I ended by the way, is the longest anyone has ever held a title here in the XWF. You remember that, don't you Pete? After you handed me a third of the Trios titles, when I stated openly and honestly, that I'd actively end your reign as champion? I know you do. In fact, that's exactly what I did. I sabotaged the match because you just don't deserve championship gold. Stupidity is weakness, Gilmour. You are exactly that.
Back to the point.
I had my boys look into it, because numbers make me curious. Statistics interest me. You must have forgot that one of my partners this week, Azrael Erebus, held the Television title for 298 days. More than 100 days longer than your 192 day reign as Trios champion.
My own tag team title reign with Griffin MacAlister was not only longer than 192 days, at 231 days, it stands as the record for any tag team champions. Of course, Griffin continued the reign without me, but that's another story.
John Madison's 241 day reign as King of the XWF is also significantly longer than 192 days.
The stupidity is great in this one, grasshopper.
In a few days time, everyone involved in this Trios tournament are going to accomplish one thing. You all become just another statistic to the King of Darkness.
It is at this moment, that my faithful Messenger, Jacob, enters the picture. He whispers something in my ear. Something important that I can not discuss at the moment. It is something the forces me to end my transmission immediately.
Fade to Darkness.
