If the last few days have taught me anything it’s that conducting business while wearing a mask is rather hard, in fact, I might go so far as to say it’s impossible. To that end, the mask has come off, and now too shall the gloves. I mean that figuratively as it’s supposed to be 60 degrees outside so no actual gloves are needed. Over the weekend I was able to purchase the building that will now become my base of operations. Looking around it doesn’t seem like much but considering what I need, it’s perfect. Matthew is supposed to be by later today with Sebastian to help install the equipment that was purchased and in Sebastian’s case, lend his opinion and hopefully approval of the space.

“If you are wondering what this little poem has to do with anything please allow me to tell you as it actually serves two purposes. The first, as a reminder, and the second a warning.”

“Ironically, both the reminder and the warning go out to the same people, or should I say, group.”

“The NWO, the New World Order of Wrestling.”

“Once upon a time in a wrestling ring far far away the New World Order led a now defunct wrestling company to an age of prosperity never seen before. And yet, in the same breath they also led to that very same company’s destruction.”

“I will admit, growing up as a kid I loved the New World Order. Loved everything about them. Their attitude, their swagger, their violence, hell, even their logo and theme music.”

“And they took that now defunct company by storm. They became the bad guys that you loved to hate. The New World Order brand was the most popular thing in wrestling during the 90’s. It wasn’t about World Championship Wrestling, it wasn’t even about the then World Wrestling Federation. It was about the New World Order. They were everywhere. Commercials, action figures, hosting their own pay per views.”

“Truly it was the golden age of wrestling.”

“And then it all changed.”

“For the strength of the pack is the wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack.”

“Perhaps that was a bit of foreshadowing that went unnoticed by the New World Order, perhaps their own arrogance and greed would not allow them to see what was in front of them. That has to be it doesn’t it? What other reason could there possibly be?”

“A group that took the wrestling word by storm and put it into a choke hold now had more holes in it than a Mr. Radio promo.”

“The New World Order split into two factions, and with it the very thing that made the New World Order so great, its exclusivity it’s swagger was gone. Replaced with wannabe’s and never ending bastardizations of the original idea.”

“Sure there have been many incarnations of the once great New World Order but none of them were ever as good as the original.”

“Times change and so must I.”

“A famous Doctor once said.”

“Words that the New World Order would have been smart to adhere to. Unfortunately they did not and now they have found themselves at the precipice of their final destruction.”

“The New World Order could have chosen any of the dozens of wrestling companies to stampede into and lay down the law. Any one of them would have relished the chance to be associated with the NWO brand.”

“Unfortunately, and the NWO will find this out in time, they picked the one company with the talent and fortitude to see to it that this time when the New World Order goes down it won’t be getting back up.”

“Perhaps they should have done their research before showing up at World War X, if they had they would have seen that fads don’t last long around these parts.”

“The Administrative Network?”

“A fad.”

“Eli James and his Congregation?”

“A fad.”

“Theo Pryce and his Company?”

“I guess you could call it a fad, he had a chance but for some reason his pen didn’t work.”

“Did you ever hear the one about the billionaire who couldn’t afford a working pen?”

“You know the one fad that hasn’t gone the way of the dodo bird?”

“The Black Circle.”

“And wouldn’t you know it, here the Black Circle stands over a decade later. Just as strong today as it was the day it was created.”

“Did you think that the name was a coincidence?”

“The very fact that Circle is in the name is the biggest giveaway in history. The Black Circle, very much like its name is forever. Some might say that The Black Circle isn’t what it used to be. What was once the baddest of the bad is now just bad. A group made up of greats is now just a group made up of has-beens and a newbie still trying to carve out his niche. The irony of this coming from a man who also hides his face much like myself is not lost on me, I assure you. But I will address this Anonymous fellow in due time.”

“Let’s get back to the subject at hand shall we?”

“The New World Order would have done well to figure out just who they were dealing with before they decided to declare war on the place that I call home.”

“But that’s ok. They are here now and now they have my attention.”

“You would think that while they were treating the vast majority of the XWF roster as crash test dummies that I might have raised an eye brow but no. Cracking a chair over the heads of nobodies or running interference in matches of little consequence are just that, actions of little consequence. It’s easy to pick on the little guy.”

“Far different to pick on someone with the backing and ability to stand up to you.”

“So here we are NWO, it seems you’ve already made an enemy of the federations resident face painting joker. Allow me to be the next, but honestly the first in what I expect to become a growing list of those prepared to move against you.”

“And please, please, I beg you, come after me. I want you to. So badly I do.”

“You think exploding presents are a problem? They are simply the appetizer to the unholy hell I am about to order up for you. While I fully expect my Black Circle brethren to stand at my side because after all, the strength of the wolf is the pack. Mark my words, I don’t need them, not for some geriatrics and a drunk. Consider me the XWF’s version of the One Warrior Nation.”
