Damien arrived at Micah's house, smiling softly. He could feel the change coming.. something new was about to happen. Behind his back, he held a long stem red rose.

Knock Knock.

He waited until she answered.

"Come on Minxxy...come paint the town red..."

He smirked as the door started to open.

I smiled and leaned against the door, my eyes lighting up for the first time in a long time.

Damien!

Letting go of the door, I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. My eyes drifted close as his scent filled my senses and it felt like all my stress just released from my body.

What are we going to do tonight?

"Anything you would like to do tonight... anything at all."

Damien smiled softly, wrapping his arms around her. It had been a long time since he had seen her.

"What would make you happy?"

Seeing you has made me very happy.

She took his hand and pulled him inside as she tried to keep the blush off her cheeks. Damien laughed at the state she was in; Hair pulled up in a high ponytail, her black sweatpants that hung low on her hips were covered in dust and her black tank top formed nicely against her small frame.

What have you been doing?

Running the business, doing research and cleaning old rooms. I...I don't have anything else going on since Zak's lost his mind and....

Her voice trailed off and she stopped, her body tensing slightly at the memory.

I'll kill him...Rip him to shreds for what he did to me.

Damien reached out, taking her into his arms again.

"What is it? Micah.. he.. he didn't know what he was doing.."

Damien couldn't stand to see her upset.

It's not Zak...Zak hasn't done anything to me. It's...Radio...He attacked my son and daughter. I had a call from the hospital saying that Mackenzie was there but...there was no word on Madyson...I failed as a mother since I couldn't protect them...

She shook in his arms and gripped his shirt, her head buried in his chest. It was the first time she cried over her twins since this was the first time since the phone call that she had stopped long enough to let herself cry. Damien's arms tightened around her but she pulled away, standing on her toes before placing her lips against his. It was a gentle kiss that spoke volumes to the both of them and when Micah gently pulled away, she was unsure of what to say.

Damien...

"I'm... I'm sure they'll be fine.. we could go there. That's where you should be."

Damien looks at her, still holding her close. He wanted to keep her safe, to take away the pain she was feeling.

"Minxx, if you would let me.. I'll make sure they are safe. I'll protect you all."

She smiled and kissed him again, "Thank you, Damien, but...Mackenzie will be fine for one night without me watching. I think he's a little annoyed that I keep going there every night. Why don't we...

A smirk danced across her lips when she remembered about the first night he came back into her life.

What would you like to do, Damien?

"This is what would make you happy. Anything you want.. for tonight. it's yours."

He smiled at her and kissed her forehead.

"Anything at all."

Damien's eyes widened slightly and Micah felt the blush come back.

She gently cupped his cheek before dancing out of his arms to sit on the couch, the fire cracking softly in the fireplace.

"Are you sure that's what you want Micah?"

He makes his way over to the couch, pulling her onto his lap.

"Are you sure that you are ready for us to be that close again?"

She nodded and gently cupped his cheeks, pressing her lips against his and tangling her hands in his hair.
