The camera fades into the locker room of Mastermind at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. He was waiting for his Monday Night Madness match with Aerial Knight. Mastermind puts the finishing touches to his rings wear, and looks at the camera.

"As soon as I've dealt with Aerial 'the Self Proclaimed' Knight, I'll be on my way to Russia, to take part in not only the Mini Gauntlet, but also my one on one match with Woe. I'm looking forward to taking Woe apart, and then I'm really looking forward to my Mini Gauntlet match. I'll show all of you how far I can go. I'm that confident of surviving the gauntlet. If I wasn't then I wouldn't be taking part."

Mastermind gets up and walks over to a wall, and leans himself against it.

"More and more wrestlers are coming out of their holes to take part in the Gauntlet, it's been quiet the last few days, and now they start appearing. Just like worms when the ground is wet appear above ground for birds to come and snatch them away, just like bora eating through wood. It's obvious that these people want to make a name for themselves, just like I do.

"I'm confident that I can get through 1, 2, 3 maybe 4 people. So whatever happens let it be so. I would have had to deal with the Woeful Woe by then, so I'll be match sharp, match fit, in control, the rest of them will not be match sharp. The rest of you will have to come from being cold, in the Russian atmosphere, the Russian coldness, to a match. Like that's a clever choice. Think about it peoples. Think about what you are doing?

"And speaking of Russia. Russia is part of the Eastern Block. What does that have to do with things you may ask? Well they are always running the eastern block gauntlet, even in the Great Wars, World War 1 and World War 2, they always started on the axis side, and wound up as part of the Allies. Anyway have a look at this."

Mastermind placed a map on the wall.

"As you can all clearly see the old Soviet Union, now Russia, and made up of other states, is surrounded by countries but yet is really expansive. But that did not deter them, in the Second War they clearly helped the Germans control Poland, the old Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, and the old Yugoslavia.

"Look at it like you will, as those countries, act as a Gauntlet, to stop the Germans and Russians advancing, much like I will stop everyone from advancing to the next round, but the Germans and Russians were so strong, that the Gauntlet perse broke down. The gauntlet won't break me. I won't break down. But you guys will. The fact that this Mini Gauntlet is even contested in Russia is historic in itself.

"So I'm ready to tackle the Mini Gauntlet? Are you guys?"

Mastermind starts laughing, then there was a knock on the door. That was to tell him that his match with Aerial Knight was ready to start.

"Gotta go, catch you all in Russia."

Mastermind walks to the door, opens it, and leaves.
