A menacing picture was painted to never be erased in my mind on the day I lost my brother and also lost myself. My body walked, it talked, it took a breath when needed, but it was an empty place and I was placed into the dark corner known as Limbo, not yet dead but not of the living. All I could do was watch through what now seemed as someone else's eyes.

Years Ago...

I could feel this burning hungry along with the wanting of something more than just food. My chest tightened from the touch of the man who was now gone, and now, my brother seemed to be alive again. I say seemed due to his lack of breath and chilled skin. He looked down on me with wondering eyes, ones that ran from head to toe. I looked up to his hand right in front of my face as he gave me a sly smile lit by the moon. Taking his hand in mine, I pulled myself to my feet and started to dust the dirt and blood from my dress.

Come, it is time to go home.

I gave a faint nod and sound before taking my brothers hand, with a smile, I walked with him down the dirt path to a small cottage near the outskirts of the woods. Two other houses seemed to be around and a small fire was set neatly in the middle. The door to the cottage opened as a woman and man stood right behind. They smiled before motioning us to come in, as expected, we did. Once the door was closed behind me, I felt hands pushing on my arms. My smiled faded as my father held me to the wall, clutching, gripping at my arms and forcing me to look at him.

She has the mark!

A gasp from my mother filled the room and sorrow filled the eyes of my father. He let go of one arm just enough to move his hand up my arm. Red scares and markings followed behind his hands as he looked up at me. I let out a small whimper as his hand shot to my throat, cutting any air I had coming in. I let a tear fall from my cheek before watching his hand bring up a small knife. He closed his eye and looked away as three words were murmured from his lips.

I am sorry.

The knife shot for me but fell short to the hand of my brother.

Draven! Help!

My eyes shot to the blood coming from my father's arm. A shriek of pain filled the house as Draven bit into the side of my fathers neck and blood gushed from it. I saw the light, the life fade from my fathers eyes as he dropped to the ground. Draven, looking up at me, ran his hand over his mouth removing the blood. There my father laid in pieces under the hand of my brother, and in all, none of it worried me nor scared me to see the blood.

You need to feed as well.

A gasp left my mouth before I put my hand around my throat. I looked over at my mother, gasping for air. My eye's closed slowly, and as they opened, a girl stood only feet from my mother, her hair unbrushed and her clothes muddy.

Come on Calamity, we're hungry hehe!

My eyes shot to my mother's body before they went back to Draven. I could feel a change as I darted to the other side of the room and sat on the chest of my mother. The last thing seen of the house was a small broken piece of glass on the ground that showed me only a small portion of who I was now.

Present Day...

[Image: abandoned-church-gary-indiana-interior_zps99b196fa.jpg]

Light filled the rooms of an old church. I woke up in the middle of all the rubble. My eyes shot around the place before I looked up to a few panels missing from the roof but not leading out into the sunlight. My eyes shifted over the place, taking in all the damage done to it. Suddenly my eyes stumbled upon a small mirror feet away. I dashed to it, seeing my eyes of changed blue and black and the red markings on my body. A smile crossed my lips as I looked over what was left of the church, kicking a few of the boards away from my feet. I heard two sets of foot steps, my own, and one of worry.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God loved the world so much he had to save it from the very things he made in his image, yet, they were full of sin. I wonder just how wonderful your god is at making things knowing he washed out a whole population that went wrong. What a forgiving god, would you not say...Father?

I turned to a priest shivering in the corner of the church. I walked to him, my feet moving around the boards placed on the floor. I could see the worry in his eyes as he looked up to me coming near him. Blood ran from his forehead as he held up his cross for comfort.

Be Gone Demon!

Are you kidding me?

I giggle as I my forehead was pushed into the cross. The priest looked up at me once more, but this time, with more confidence as I let out a loud whipper.

Ow!Ow! It doesn't hurt father dear, I think it's broken.

My hand gripped around his shirt before I pulled him to his feet and sent him into the debris. Another giggle filled the air as I walked closer to him.

I know someone who loves the world so much he's sending all kinds of little goodies down, me for one. I guess you could say, I have eternal life, let's see if you do Father.

My body swung into the air and landed on the chest of the priest. He looked up at me, whimpering and crying. I smiled pushing his head back and pushing my lips to his. My head fell back as a moan crossed over my lips. I laughed slightly before looking back down at the man half awake.

Can we eat him?

No! Let's play Calam please please please!!!!!!

In blood he rained by two sticks put together, why? To save us from our sins father. Now, why would that be the symbol to deflect those who go against your holy word? It was the proof that even god can not make what is seen as perfect, however, he can cover it up with his son and only his son. Crucifixion, ha! I have two of my own to do this week right after I’m done with a little meal.

As I leaned down for more, water was shot from a small clear bottle into my face. Black ran down my face as I looked down at the man, trying desperately to get away.

Again, it's defective.

I picked him up once again sending him back into the altar of mother mary. I smiled and walked over to where he was, watching has blood wash over his hands. I smiled and leaned down pulling his face up.

How did you know what I was?

His eyes rolled to the back of his head causing me to send a slap to the side of his face.

Come on, stay with me father, how did you know what I was?

Your eyes, and your smell.

Well I would go take a shower but you already gave me one did you not.

I stood up and sent my foot into his side. He coughed up blood as he fell to his side. I made a circle before looking back at him.

Can we kill him now?

I also enjoy the story of the virgin mary, the one you broke with your slight tumble. So pure, so holy, perfect place for a sweet baby boy. You know, I know someone who is just waiting for his big show and I'm sure he is going to want a little more bang for his buck, don't you? Do you want to be around for that, I think killing you would be doing you a courtesy.

I watched as he tried to stumble to his feet, failing and falling back down. I walked back to him, placing my hand on his chest with a smile, and pulled him up the wall. His eyes rolled slightly before looking into my eyes.

But I'm just so hungry, tell me one more thing, Is it just you church nuts that know what I am?

I will tell you no more.

Oh, well, I guess it's time to see if your soul is saved. You are no use to me but for this now.

Kiley, you know what to do when the time comes.

Right!

Hours Later...

Fire, flames, and smoke consumed the church as I stood across the way in a black hooded jacket along with many other pedestrians. I would hear the comments from behind me, "Was anyone inside?" "Not that I know of." A smile crossed my face remembering the meal I had before. I closed my eye, turning to the crowd, and leaving.

What was the purpose of that? We could have gone back to the guy you won't kill.

I needed answers.

Did you get them.

No.

Waste of time.

Burn baby burn!

I'm the older one and she seems to enjoy this more than I, I thought children were the innocence of the world.

She isn't part of the world, nor are we.
