It has been confirmed that the XWF has come to terms on a contract with prospect, Garrett "The Phoenix" Myers. Myers has been a hot prospect since his appearance, at a fairly young age, on the independent circuit back in 2007. Since 2007, Myers has amassed several championships in both singles and tag competition, one of which being a single World Championship reign with the #2 independent wrestling company in the U.S. ProWrestlingTalk.com has consistently ranked Myers in the Top 10 of their Pro Wrestling Prospect List since 2009. Since early 2012, Myers has been ranked the #1 pro wrestling prospect in the world. Myers has drawn comparisons to legends such as Rob Van Dam, Daniel Bryan, and even Rey Mysterio.

Since news of the signing, many analysts have given high praise to the XWF for the signing. One analyst is quoted saying, "The XWF got one of the hardest working, most determined young wrestlers that we've seen in some time." In an interview with one of Myers' former trainers, who has sent several wrestlers to have fruitful professional careers, he says, "He will have to start from the very bottom again. But, adversity is what brings out his greatness, so look for big things from Garrett." Expect the debut of Garrett Myers coming soon.

Garrett has been so caught up in the signing process and the excitement of joining the XWF that he hasn't had much time to get used to the new work environment. Needless to say, he was actually fairly humbled that Caliban and Alex Shawn had acknowledged him while he stopped in to move his things into his new workplace. Garrett first acknowledges Alex by chuckling a bit to himself and grinning.

"Thanks for the well wish, man. You know what they say in the Independents, 'You live and die in the independents and you hope to have a good run inbetween."

He then looks over to Caliban. Unsure if Caliban was getting at something, or just making small talk, Myers walks over and glimpses at the article. To his surprise, it was one of his articles.

"I did write that, actually. I was doing a short pro-wrestling beat-writing gig until I found something more stable. That was my last article. Think of that as my resignation letter from that line of work."

Garrett turns to go back to his locker, but pauses before he walks away. He looks over his shoulder to Caliban.

"And all of that is 100% accurate, by the way."

Let me give the phoenix so advice from beyond the flame, stuff like this isn't what you need to get your name moving around here and trust me ask around and if you want to make a quick impact before you get in the ring you come and speak to me. I've been here a week and my appearance in the rumble tonight has been more covered than about 75 percent of this locker room and I'm nothing of what your little article says. I wasn't getting at anything at all in fact I'm excited to see what you can do. There are whispers in the works who would very much like to talk to you. But kid stuff like this will not get you anything but shit in this company. Thats not me being an asshole its just the truth. Forget who you were, forget were you came from and sure as shit forget who the hicks have compared you too, this isn't Viking hall or some Gym in Pennsylvania, its not a fare ground in Nashville and its definitley not a sound stage in Orlando, this is bigger than all those places and here who you were in those places, just... doesn't... matter

"I appreciate the advice, I really do, but don't worry about me. I'm focused on the here and now and ready to make an immediate impact. With that being said, best of luck in the rumble tonight. Believe me, I'll be watching."

He then turns to Luca Arzegotti and points to Matt Lennox's motionless body.

"He'll be fine, I assume?"
